Ruiyun mountain is located in Chenda Town, Meilie District, Sanming City, Fujian Province, 40 kilometers away from the city center. It is named because of the colorful clouds in the mountain. Ruiyun cave
The cave is 30 meters deep, 61 meters wide and more than 4 meters high, shaped like a lion's mouth. The top of the cave is covered with pines, the flowing water is murmuring, like pearls and curtains, hanging at the entrance all the year round. There are several cliff inscriptions since the Song Dynasty, including the inscription "you Rong" by Zhihan, the censor of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), and couplets such as "people hide jade in the stone, and visitors come to the cave to separate the bead curtain". Yiyan has a five bay wooden temple built in the Song Dynasty. It is a hall for Buddhists, Taoists and local gods. It is full of incense. Since Ming Dynasty, it has been repaired many times. The stone gate in front of the cave was built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722) and engraved with the word "Ruiyun cave". The single arch stone bridge in front of the mountain gate was built in the Ming Dynasty, with a simple style.
