It was originally one of the ancient Wu sites. According to Chang Zhao He Zhi, "Jiuli city is located in Jiuli, North (East) of the county. It is said that the king of Wu built the city to block horses, which is commonly known as" Lanma city ". When the village was renovated, more than 50 earthen wells were found underground, in which pottery fragments were left. After the trial excavation by the Archaeology Department of Nanjing Museum, a batch of black skin pottery pots, pottery pots, stone axes, stones, pottery spinning wheels and bone netting vessels were unearthed in the lower part of two wells. It has been identified as a Neolithic Liangzhu Cultural site, about 4000-4500 years.
