Inner Mongolia Normal University
On May 5, 1952, Inner Mongolia Normal University was established in Ulanhot, the capital at that time.
In August 1953, Inner Mongolia Normal College, which was merged by Zhangjiakou Teachers College and Suiyuan Teachers College, was merged into Inner Mongolia Normal College.
On July 6, 1954, the Ministry of Education approved the merger of the former Inner Mongolia Normal College and the former Inner Mongolia Normal College, which was called "Inner Mongolia Normal College". The hospital is located in Hohhot, with Mongolian and Chinese departments. November 24. By the decision of the people's Government of the autonomous region, Hohhot No.3 middle school will be changed into a middle school affiliated to Inner Mongolia Normal University.
In 1955, all the teachers and students moved to the new campus outside the South Gate of the new town.
In 1956, the college established the correspondence education department, with three majors of Chinese, Mongolian and mathematics.
In 1958, we set up five specialties of physics, chemistry, biology, history and geography, and cooperated with Renmin University of China and other domestic famous universities to pilot graduate education.

In 1964, the University set up a correspondence university, and successively set up correspondence stations in Yakeshi, Tongliao, Chifeng and other places, forming a complete correspondence education system.

In 1982, the University changed its name to "Inner Mongolia Normal University" and was identified as a key university in the autonomous region.
In 1983, the correspondence university attached to Inner Mongolia Normal University was restored and the cadre training department was established.
In 1994, Inner Mongolia Normal University and Malaysia International Modern Design Group jointly founded the International Institute of modern design and art, and established the College of Adult Education (College of Continuing Education).
In 1997, the school established the Institute of physical education and the Institute of foreign languages, which were approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council to carry out the work of applying for a master's degree by people with the same academic qualifications.
In 1999, the University became a pilot unit to carry out on-the-job education master's degree.
In July 2000, according to the decision of the government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on the structural layout adjustment of colleges and universities, Inner Mongolia Institute of education was incorporated into Inner Mongolia Normal University.
In 2001, the school established the Academy of fine arts, conservatory of music, Academy of Geographical Sciences and Academy of Mongolian studies.
In 2002, the school began to build Shengle campus. Tian Jiabing Education College and Tourism College have been established.
In 2003, the school established the College of life science and technology and the College of international exchange.
In 2004, the school established the school of Educational Sciences, School of Mathematical Sciences, School of physics and electronic information, School of chemistry and Environmental Sciences, School of media, School of computer and information engineering.
In 2006, the University established the College of law and politics, the College of economics, the College of history and culture, the College of tourism, the College of sociology and folklore, and the College of science history and science and technology management, and became an authorized unit for doctoral degree with the approval of the academic degrees Committee of the State Council.
In 2007, the school established the College of Marxism, the College of basic education, the College of public management and Hongde college.
In 2008, with the approval of the Ministry of education, the University officially became a university with the qualification of examination free recommendation for postgraduates.
In June 2013, the University was shortlisted for the basic ability construction project of universities in central and Western China.
In 2014, the school of Educational Sciences was approved as the construction unit of the Ministry of education's excellent kindergarten teacher training plan reform project "comprehensive reform of excellent kindergarten teacher training system in ethnic areas".
In June 2015, the University joined the "Eurasia Pacific University cooperation network" (EPU).
In February 2017, the University was identified as the first pilot University in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of "free directional training of teachers plan".
On December 8, 2019, the Northeast Asian ethnic history and Culture Research Institute of Inner Mongolia Normal University was officially established in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
