human geography
Yangping village committee of Yangping Yi nationality township is inhabited by the hardworking, kind-hearted and brave people of Yangping Yi nationality, who continue the traditional culture of Liangshan together. No matter the world affairs, human relations or customs, they are all mixed with charming stories.
1、 Residential houses based on wood
Yi nationality was originally a nomadic people, mainly grazing, with the continuous development of farming, and became the main business, gradually settled down. I like to build houses near mountains and rivers, surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery. The most common villages are several or more than ten households, which are relatively scattered. There are two kinds of houses: wooden wall with wooden roof and wooden wall with wooden roof (wooden house). Now it has developed into a house with wall and tile roof structure. Among them, wooden house is the representative of Yi People's house, also known as Huangban house. Yi people call it "Shiyi", which is made of wooden board. It is more than one Zhang (3m) high, with logs as columns, wooden piles as walls, and bamboo and wood fences as the four walls. The roof is overlaid with thin boards in three horizontal rows, with stone as the surface instead of nails.
The room is divided into three rooms with bamboo fence. The middle is the main room with a gate. There is a fire pool in the center. There are three stone bricks in the middle of the fire pool to support the pot, which is called pot pile. The fire pool is mainly used for cooking, heating, lighting, etc. the fire in the fire pool never dies out. On both sides of the fire pool, a bamboo mat is laid, commonly known as the bamboo folding fence, and Yi people call it "majue". People sit on it, the host sits on the left, and the guest sits on the right. It is not appropriate to sit wrong. The bamboo mat is not only a place for sitting and resting, but also a dining table for a family. It integrates kitchen and living room. On the left is the master's inner room, which is called "Haku" by Yi people. It is a place for storing valuables and offering sacrifices to ancestors. Outsiders are not allowed to enter. On the right is the storeroom for storing grain, stone mill and other articles, which is called "Gabe" by Yi people. The lower side of the main house is the livestock stables. The yard is surrounded by firewood rows with a height of 1 ~ 2m, commonly known as "fence firewood". The whole house has a unique style.
2、 Colorful clothes
Yi costume has strong local color and unique national style. Men, women, old and young have their own characteristics.
Women's wear: girl's hair is braided, wearing a handkerchief, pressing a red rope. The skirt is a two-part skirt, with upper tube and lower pleat, red and white, and plain color. When the girl reaches adulthood (12-13 years old), she holds a dress changing ceremony, which is called "shaanlar" by Yi people. Before the end of marriage, women wear headscarves like girls. After childbearing, women change the headscarves into octagonal cloth caps, which are shaped like gongs and pans. Therefore, they are commonly known as "luoguomao" and "Er" in Yi.
Adult women's top Yi called "Yidi" or "Yibi", there are three kinds of big sleeves, small sleeves and multi button neckwear. The big sleeves are mostly sewn with black velvet cloth, while the neckwear is sewn with colorful cloth to make it into vest shape, without collar and sleeve.
Adult women wear three color skirts with small waist and large swing, straight tube shape in the middle, waist in the upper part and wrinkles in the lower part. The young women's color group has a strong contrast. They are mostly made of red, yellow, emerald green, pink, rose red and white. The color skirts of middle-aged and old women are also very beautiful, but the color is plain and elegant. They are mostly made of black and blue, sky blue and white.
Men's clothing: children do not wear headscarves, leaving a pinch of hair "Heaven Bodhisattva" in the forehead. Adult men use about 6 meters long black cloth to wrap their heads, commonly known as "Tao tou", and Yi people call it "ETI". Most of the top underwear is white cloth jacket with double lapel, and the outer coat is short tail collar with double lapel. The cloth is black and blue. The buttons are arranged in a strange way, dense and neat, elegant and elegant. Black and blue crotch pants are mostly used in the bottom, which are characterized by large crotch and large foot opening.
Felt is another unique clothing of Yi people. It is made of wool pole for cold protection. There are two kinds of single and double drapes. The single drape is called "Wala" or "Hebo", which looks like a bronze bell; the double drape is called "Jiashi", which looks like a cape. Men, women and children carry them all year round. They can protect themselves from the cold during the day and warm up at night. They can prevent rain and avoid the sun at ordinary times.
3、 Magical marriage customs
The marriage custom of Yi nationality is unique and interesting, with strong national characteristics
1. Change skirt: it's called "shaanlar" in Yi language.
Yi people always have the custom of marriage by pointing the belly. When a girl is 12-13 years old, she has not been married or married. It is just like holding a wedding ceremony to change her skirt (also called combing her hair). It marks the beginning of puberty. If the girl has been married or married, the ceremony will not be held separately.
2. Kandan is engagement, which is called "wuranmu" in Yi language.
It is an important symbol of good fortune and marriage. When the man's family asked Bimo to calculate niangeng, they asked the matchmaker to carry a jar of wine to the woman's home to get engaged. When the woman's home saw that niangeng was suitable, she immediately killed a little pig and took out the gallbladder. If the bile was abundant and full, it was considered a sign of good luck and happiness. It was a happy marriage. Both the host and the guest were happy. After negotiation and approval, they paid part of the bride price There are good reasons not to break the contract. If you are timid and shriveled, it will be regarded as a bad omen. If the marriage is not approved by heaven, the marriage will be ruined.
3. Marriage promotion: it is called "daughter-in-law" in Yi language.
