Yuehua street is a place where Taoists and mountain residents live together. It is also a market on the mountain and a place for pilgrims and tourists to stay. At present, there are 8 ancient road houses and many Hui style houses in Yuehua street, which form a dense building group with palaces and courtyards. When the lanterns are in full bloom, standing at the three day gate overlooking the whole block, and then looking up at the sky, your mind must present the scene described in Guo Moruo's the market in the sky. In the early morning, when the sun rises and the sea of clouds rises, you will feel like you are in a fairyland, and you will feel like you are in the world. In addition, Qiyunshan farmhouse restaurants are concentrated in Yuehua street.
Yuehua Street
"Tianjie" is located in the village group of Yuehua, Qiyun mountain, a famous Taoist mountain in Qiyun mountain town, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It is 585 meters above sea level and is called "Tianjie" or "Yuehua Tianjie" because it is half suspended above the cliff. At present, there are 30 families in Tianjie, most of them are engaged in tourism. Taoists and mountain people live together in Tianjie. The Hui style houses and Taoist buildings complement each other.
Overview of Tianjie
From the complex city to the silent Qiyun mountain, whether it's a pilgrimage or a spiritual cultivation, as long as you approach the Qiyun mountain and look up from the foot of the mountain, you will be shocked by its spirit of lingxu. Although the altitude is only 585 meters, we can see the clouds and fog around the mountainside, and the immortal air is threatening. Deep in the fairy mountain, there are several white walled cottages lined up, sometimes hidden in the green mountains and forests, sometimes floating in the sea of clouds, just like a street in the sky. People who have been to Qiyun mountain know that it is yuehuatian street, a village deep in the white clouds.
In fact, yuehuatian street is not a real market, but only a Taoist village composed of 30 families. However, the name of "street" is enough to show how prosperous yuehuatian village used to be in ancient times, with temples, Taoist courts, shops, cigarettes, cooking smoke, Jingsheng and hustle . According to the records of Qiyun mountain in the Ming Dynasty, there are more than 3000 pilgrims from Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces every day. It is conceivable that there are many ancient Taoist believers in Qiyun mountain and the incense is flourishing. The more than 30 families living in Taoist villages are all Taoists and their descendants. There are two major sects of Taoism in China, Quanzhen sect and Zhengyi sect. Quanzhen sect is vegetarian, alcohol free, marriage forbidden, and must become a monk. Zhengyi sect is the general name of all the sects in accordance with the law. It is relatively free. It does not avoid drinking and meat during non fasting period, and pays attention to content but not form. After finishing the ritual, it can join the ranks of pilgrims to drink and eat meat as long as it avoids the divine throne and the gods can't see it, but it must be used after eating As a result, there were families and descendants, and over time, such a Taoist village was formed. Why is the village named after "Yuehua"? This is to be seen from the pattern of the village, because the courtyard and residence of the whole village scattered in the half circle of the mid level waist, skillfully constituted a "crescent moon", so the Taoist family took a pleasant name for the village, called Yuehua street, meaning to absorb the essence of the sun and the moon.
For thousands of years, the rise and fall of the village of Yuehua street in Qiyun mountain has been closely linked with the Taoism in Qiyun mountain. The Taoists make a living with incense money. The prosperity of Taoism leads to the prosperity of Yuehua street, and the decline of Taoism leads to the lifelessness of Yuehua street. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Taoists and their families in Yuehua Street began to organize production and self-help in accordance with the policy, and formed a production form that mainly engaged in agricultural production, supplemented by religious activities. After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, the tourism industry of Qiyun mountain began to flourish, and the Taoist family gradually separated from the agricultural production and began to operate the tourism service industry. Today, the Taoists in Yuehua street of Qiyun mountain have lived a happy life relying on tourism.
In Yuehua street, there is such a strange phenomenon that the language used by Taoist families when they communicate with each other is called "bird language" by Xiuning, because they can't understand it. If they don't use Putonghua to communicate, they will feel language barrier, which is really puzzling. In fact, what Yuehua street people say is not the local Xiuning dialect, but the Wuyuan dialect of Jiangxi Province. Why is this strange phenomenon? It turns out that the ancestors of Yuehua Street's family are Wuyuan people in Jiangxi Province. After they became Taoists in Qiyun mountain, they have stayed for generations. However, due to less communication between the mountain and the mountain, their life, language and customs have not been assimilated by Xiuning, and they still retain the cultural characteristics of Wuyuan in Jiangxi Province.
Nowadays, due to the development and opening up of Qiyun mountain tourism, Yuehua street is no longer mysterious in front of the world. Yuehua street, as the Taoist cultural center and the concentration of Taoist buildings in Qiyun mountain, has been developed into a tourist area integrating natural landscape and cultural landscape. Therefore, Yuehua Street scenic spot has become the first choice for tourists to visit Qiyun mountain. Qiyun mountain, as people usually call it, refers to Yuehua Street scenic spot.
