Jiangning senior high school was founded in 1933, formerly known as the county Jiangning middle school. It has moved its site five times and changed its name six times. In 1980, it was identified as one of the first batch of provincial key middle schools by Jiangsu provincial government. In 1992, it passed the inspection and acceptance and was approved as provincial qualified key middle school. In April 2002, it passed the acceptance of national model high school. In March 2004, it was transferred to be one of the first batch of four-star ordinary high schools in Jiangsu Province. The school has twice been awarded the title of "civilized unit of Jiangsu Province" by the provincial government, and successively won the honorary titles of provincial advanced school of moral education, provincial advanced collective of education and scientific research, and provincial advanced unit of quality education.

School history

Jiangning senior high school in Nanjing was founded in 1934. When it was first established, it was called "county Jiangning middle school". The school was located in xiaoshikou outside Nanmen, Nanjing. In that year, it enrolled 48 junior high school students, with a secondary normal school class and 44 students. The length of schooling was three years.

In the autumn of 1935, it was changed into "provincial Jiangning middle school", moved to the new site of Dongshan Town, and the high school department began to recruit students. Zhao Xianglin was the first president.

In 1937, the Japanese invaded China, Jiangning was occupied, the school was destroyed, and the provincial Jiangning middle school was forced to demobilize.

In July 1948, he returned to school in Jinshan Temple of Dongshan, and later moved to the former county "cadre training institute", which was renamed Jiangning junior high school.

In 1949, Jiangning was liberated, and the school moved to the fork road. At that time, the school had four school buildings, with more than 150 mu of arable land.

In 1953, a new "Tangshan Branch of junior middle school in Jiangning County" was established.

In the second half of 1954, there were more than 800 students in 17 classes in the school headquarters alone.

In 1954, a United Party branch was set up in the Middle School of the county. The branch was set up in the Middle School of the county, and Zhao Zihe, the propaganda minister of the county Party committee, was concurrently Secretary of the branch.

In the autumn of 1956, the county Party branch was established.

In the autumn of 1956, it began to recruit new high school students, changed its name to "Qinhuai middle school", and was listed as a key middle school in Zhenjiang area.

In 1959, the school became a high school double track, junior high school four track, the school has 18 classes 1050 students, more than 80 staff.

In 1970, the school moved to the original campus of the former provincial finance school and changed its name to "Jiangning County Middle School";

In 1980, Jiangning County middle school was listed as the first batch of key middle schools in Jiangsu Province;

In October 1998, the general Party branch of Jiangning County middle school was upgraded to the Party committee.

In 1993, Jiangning County reformed the enrollment method of high school entrance examination, and the county middle school enrolled students before the technical secondary school;

Since 1994, the school has reduced junior high school to double track;

In 1997, the recruitment of junior high school freshmen was stopped;

In 1999, we separated junior high school from senior high school and became an independent high school;

In March 2001, Jiangning high school changed its name to "Jiangning senior high school in Nanjing City" because of the withdrawal of Jiangning County into districts;

In April 2002, the school was identified as a national model high school. In July 2004, the whole school moved to the new site.

Hardware facilities

As of 2014, the school has 20 research laboratories, 15 preparation laboratories, instrument rooms and specimen rooms. There are also computer room, language laboratory, innovation laboratory, music room, art room, etc. The student reading room of the library is equipped with 400 seats, and the teacher reading room is equipped with 90 seats. In the college entrance examination in 2019, the actual reference number is 793, the number of students who have reached the first line is 313 (187 for the city's basic goal and 211 for the development goal), and the rate of reaching the first line (according to the actual reference number) is 39.5%. There are 713 undergraduates in the general arts examination (the city's basic goal is 664, and the development goal is 701). 19 candidates in Arts and sports or those in Arts and sports have reached the undergraduate level, and the rate of the second year's achievement (according to the actual reference number) is 92.3%. 　

In the 2016 college entrance examination, the school-based two rate exceeded 70%, and the class based one rate in Qinghai even exceeded 80%!

In 2015, there were 601 students (544 in culture, 45 in art and 12 in Physical Education) in the college entrance examination, which exceeded the target of Nanjing City (392 students were enrolled in the college entrance examination three years ago), with a promotion rate of 153.3%

In the college entrance examination results of Qinghai class, 31 students in ethnic class all reached the undergraduate level, among which 24 students reached the undergraduate level (77.4%), including the top 3 ethnic groups in Qinghai Province, 8 of the top 10 in Qinghai Province, and 9 of them were admitted by the Central University for nationalities

Among them, 33 (82.5%) were from the first class and 37 (92.5%) were from the second class.
