The Wetland Park in Zhengdong New Area is mainly used to purify the water quality of Ruyi lake. The rated daily water treatment capacity can reach up to 20000 tons. The water quality of Ruyi lake can be purified after passing through the wetland park. The park covers an area of 40000 square meters (60 mu), about one sixth of the size of bishagang park. It is an urban constructed wetland project with the largest water treatment capacity in China.

Wetland park is located in the northeast corner of the intersection of CBD business inner ring road and North South Canal, which is free for citizens. Citizens can take bus No.7, 206 and k206 to get off at Jiuru Road Station of business inner ring road and walk 300 meters counter clockwise along inner ring road, or take bus No.47 to get off at Jiuru Road Station of Huanghe East Road and walk 350 meters counter clockwise along Huanghe East Road

Introduction

Each of the four corners of the wetland park has a drop aeration tank, and each drop aeration tank supplies two groups of wetland ecological treatment systems. There are eight groups of wetland systems in the Wetland Park, which operate simultaneously and independently. The water from Ruyi lake is pumped to the water drop aeration tank of Wetland Park by the water pump. After oxygen and iron removal by the water drop aeration tank, the water flows through the first biological pond, the first gravel bed, the second biological pond and the second gravel bed in turn. After nitrogen and phosphorus removal by the biological pond and gravel bed, the water flows back to Ruyi Lake naturally. The function of gravel bed is to filter the impurities of lake water through gravel and rhizome net. The water flowing back to the lake can reach the national surface water grade II standard.

Water purification treatment principle of Wetland Park in Zhengdong New Area: water purification principle is mainly realized by falling aeration tank, biological pond and gravel bed. The water drop aeration tank is a masonry pebble structure, with one in each corner of the wetland park. The water drop aeration tank oxidizes the water by waterfall flow to remove a large number of metal ions in the water.

Floating, submerged and emergent aquatic plants are planted in biological ponds and gravel beds. They mainly use the chemical action of aquatic plants, the degradation of microorganisms around the roots of aquatic plants and the physical action of gravel filler to decompose pollutants and absorb nutrients.

The aquatic plants planted in the gravel bed include Arundo donax, Arundo donax, Typha, Phragmites australis, Allium fistulosum, Phyllostachys heterocycla, etc. the roots of these aquatic plants are very developed, forming a huge filter under the gravel, which can well absorb or decompose the pollutants and nutrients in the sewage. The gravel in the gravel bed can effectively filter the lake water. These comprehensive functions make the sewage get a deep purification, so as to realize the recycling of water resources.
