Subject advantage
On January 19, 2009, the center for degree and graduate education development of the Ministry of Education released the ranking results of universities in subject evaluation (2007-2009) on its website, and the ranking results of various disciplines of the Institute were gratifying. Among them, the first-class discipline of Surveying and Mapping Science and technology in the major of cartography and geographic information engineering ranks first in China, the first-class discipline of public management in the major of land resource management ranks first in China, and the first-class discipline of geography ranks sixth in China. In addition, environmental science and engineering is also in the forefront of the first level disciplines.
Get honor
The college has successively won one national second prize and six provincial and ministerial awards for teaching reform achievements, and one course has been rated as national excellent course. Our students won one first prize in the national "Challenge Cup" competition, one first prize and two second prizes in the National Undergraduate Mathematical modeling competition, and one excellent prize in the international mathematical modeling competition. Scientific research projects cover national 973, 863, key projects and other programs, as well as major and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Horizontal projects show a series of growth trend, and scientific research funds are close to 28 million in 2007. In recent years, the college has won 2 national second prizes and 20 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards.
academic exchange
The college has carried out academic exchanges and cooperation with the United States, Russia, France, Norway, Japan and other countries, and has jointly trained masters and doctorates with international ITC of the Netherlands, Lille University of science and technology of France and other foreign universities and research institutions. The college has successively hosted and co sponsored many international and domestic conferences, and has sent more than 40 professors and doctors to attend many important international conferences and deliver speeches or papers.
