Department of information science, Wuhan University

The information science department of Wuhan University is the former Wuhan University of Surveying and mapping. In 2000, the former Wuhan University, Wuhan University of water resources and electric power, Wuhan University of Surveying and mapping technology and Hubei Medical University merged into a new Wuhan University and became the information science department of Wuhan University. At present, the Department of information science has six colleges and one department, namely, School of computer science, School of Remote Sensing Information Engineering, School of electronic information, School of international software, School of Surveying and mapping, School of resources and environmental science, and Department of printing and packaging.

General situation of the University

The Department of information science of Wuhan University and the Department of Arts and Sciences of Wuhan University are separated by Bayi Road. The third North Gate of the Department of information science is opposite to the main gate of the Department of Arts and Sciences. The main gate is located in guangbutun, facing central China Normal University.
