Longtou Temple Park

Longtousi park is located in longta street, Yubei District, adjacent to the North New District in the north, Jiangbei District in the South and East, Yubei District in the west, about 3.5km away from jiangbeizui international financial center, about 5km away from Jiefangbei, and about 15km away from Jiangbei International Airport. The park covers an area of about 800 mu, with a total investment of about 700 million yuan. It takes "science and technology, ecology" as the theme, with a greening rate of 75%. Now it is the largest comprehensive free open park with the highest grade in the main city.

Longtousi Park covers an area of 800 mu, with 650 mu of core scenic area and 150 mu of landscape Avenue. The height difference between the highest and lowest parts of the park is 100 meters, which belongs to the Valley Park. The first park started construction in June 2009. After the construction, the longtousi park has been gradually adjusted to become a comprehensive park with the theme of science and technology and environmental protection. There are seven functional areas in the park: entrance landscape display area, popular science garden landscape area, valley wetland landscape area, garden flower landscape area, children's recreation area, mountain forest ecological recreation area, service management area, etc.

Together with Chongqing Science and Technology Museum, the park has become a popular science education base for teenagers. The gallery relief images are divided into epic, modern and future chapters, which show China's glorious history of scientific and Technological Development from the four great inventions to Shenzhou 7. It is worth mentioning that the construction of longtousi park itself fully embodies the theme of scientific and technological environmental protection. Jianyuanshilin spreads scientific and technological culture, and builds lakes and wetlands to form an ecological environment Water circulation system, making park facilities with waste materials, etc. Longtousi park itself is also a science and technology "Museum". The lake water and green irrigation water are mainly from the rainwater collection system. Rainwater is mainly treated by self purification of plants, which can achieve self purification effect and form an ecological water circulation system through a number of ecological green islands, wetlands and a variety of aquatic plants in the lake.

Longtousi Park embodies the modern garden style of simplicity, lightness and atmosphere. Combining Chinese natural landscape with British landscape, it forms a rich and multi-level elevation landscape of the park. At the bottom of the valley is a winding lake, with a sea of flowers and forests beside the lake. It is a good place for people to watch flowers in spring and enjoy leaves in autumn.

Academician Lin Memorial, 6 meters high, is made of Three Gorges stone. It is inscribed by Han Qide and designed by Sichuan Academy of fine arts.

On the afternoon of September 7, 2009, more than 70 academicians attending the 11th Annual Meeting of China Association for science and technology in Chongqing came to the academician forest in Longtou Temple Park to carry out the activity of "building academician forest with big hands and small hands" with more than 200 teenagers in Chongqing, and planted more than 100 seedlings.

Bo Xilai, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the municipal Party committee, Han Qide, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the China Association for science and technology, Xu Kuangdi, President of the Chinese Academy of engineering, Deng Nan, executive vice chairman of the China Association for science and technology, Yang Zhenning, Nobel Laureate in physics, and municipal leaders Wang Hongju, Zhang Xuan, Huang Qifan, fan zhaobing, Hu Jiankang and Chen Wanzhi attended the unveiling ceremony of the academician Lin Memorial. Vice Mayor Tong Xiaoping presided over the ceremony. At the ceremony, Han Qide, Xu Kuangdi and Deng Nan jointly unveiled the monument to academician Lin.

Tourism services

Longtousi Park was initially opened on New Year's day in 2010, and was fully opened in January 2011, with free tickets.
