The forest area is 14500 mu, and the forest coverage rate is 69%. The annual average temperature is 10.1 ℃, and the annual average precipitation is 711.9mm. There are various geological relic landscapes in the scenic area, including ancient gneiss formed in Archean period 2.8 billion years ago, conglomerate outcrops of great wall system and rolling stones collapsing along joints of great wall system of 1.8 billion years ago. The contact boundary between Archean Qianxi group and Proterozoic great wall system is exposed in the scenic area, which represents about 1 billion years of stratigraphic loss. It has beautiful canyons, streams, rocks, woodlands and lakes at the top of the mountain as its natural landscape, integrating geological culture and folk characteristics. It has unique gravel scenery and rich and complete Archean landform. It is known by geologists as "holographic Archean geological and geomorphological archives".

Shanyekou scenic spot was built in 2007, and has invested 34 million yuan to improve the infrastructure of the scenic spot. The scenic spot is positioned as an ecotourism area integrating leisure, experience, sightseeing and entertainment. In the scenic area, geological knowledge corridor, geological exhibition hall, tourist service center and other tourist facilities are available. In 2012, the scenic spot received more than 80000 tourists and the tourism income was more than 1.2 million yuan. In 2013, shanyekou scenic area of Qian'an National Geopark was officially rated as a national 4A tourist area by the National Tourism Administration. This is also the first national 4A scenic spot created by Qian'an city.

4 Sanyou Pavilion
