Tenglongshan belongs to Taihang mountain system. It is located in Wangpo Township, Pingshan County, Hebei Province, adjacent to Tiantai Mountain in the west, Hengshan Lake in the north, and only 50 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital. Tenglongshan scenic spot is located in the north of Wangpo Township, Pingshan County, Hebei Province, adjacent to Tiantai Mountain in the west, Hengshan Lake in the north, Xiannv Lake in the south, 25 kilometers away from the county seat, and 50 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang in the East, with convenient transportation. History and Humanities

In 407 B.C., LeYang led Wei soldiers to fight a decisive battle with Guxu, the general of Zhongshan, in tenglongshan.

In the Western Han Dynasty, tenglongshan was called Fangshan and Tieshan. It is said that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty stationed troops in Yingpan at the foot of the mountain and established the concept of queen mother.

Tenglongshan in the Eastern Han Dynasty called Fangshan under the jurisdiction of Lingshou. Emperor Guangwu Liu xiuzeng led his troops to fight in Fangshan. In 86 A.D., Emperor Zhang of the Han Dynasty went to Fangshan, the ancestral temple of Lingshou.

In the Tang Dynasty, Buddhist temples were built in the Piedmont Village.

In the late Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties, tenglongshan was called Fangshan, Xishan and Wangmushan. Wang Zhen, the king of Zhao, took advantage of the natural danger to build the Xishan Pavilion. He led more than ten thousand soldiers to climb the mountain and face the water, and never returned for more than a month.

During the Anti Japanese War, Nie Rongzhen, Deng Hua, Wang Zhao, Xiao Feng, Zuo Ye, Yu Yingchuan, Zhong Shenyi and other revolutionaries of the old generation turned to tenglongshan. Tenglongshan is also a famous command post of Chenzhuang campaign.

From October to December 1943, the Japanese aggressors built five fortresses along the Tenglong ridge, 109 barracks, headquarters, infirmary, armory and other military facilities, and stationed a squadron for a long time. The terrain of tenglongshan is dangerous, easy to defend and difficult to attack. The army and people of Shanxi, Chahar and Hebei fought with the Japanese army for a year and a half, and the Japanese army was forced to retreat in April 1945. These buildings and sites became a unique historical and cultural landscape in the North China battlefield of the Second World War.
