Zhejiang Library
Zhejiang Library, located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is one of the earliest Provincial Public Libraries in China. It is one of the first batch of "national key protection units of ancient books". It is the "first-class library" assessed by the former Ministry of culture of the people's Republic of China. It is the Zhejiang provincial sub center of the national cultural information resource sharing project, the Zhejiang provincial sub center of the National Library joint Cataloging Center, and the Yangtze River Delta public library Library lecture alliance.
Zhejiang Library was founded in 1900, formerly known as Hangzhou Library. In 1909, Zhejiang government book office merged into Zhejiang Library, and Zhejiang Library was established. In 1951, it received the Nanxun jiayetang library and books donated by Liu Chenggan. In 1953, it decided to use "Zhejiang Library" as its name. In November 2000, on the occasion of the centennial of Zhejiang Library, the new Zhejiang Library officially opened.
As of 2016, Zhejiang Library has a total construction area of 47000 square meters, with 24 branches and 29 circulation stations throughout the province, with a total collection of 6.7344 million volumes (pieces), including 822000 ancient books, including 150000 rare books; 907700 bound newspapers and periodicals; 150000 block printed books; and 1.7482 million e-books. The library has 1359 reading seats and 282 staff.

As of 2016, Zhejiang Library has 6.7344 million volumes (pieces) of literature, which is characterized by rich precious ancient books and complete local literature. Among them, there are 822000 ancient books, including 150000 rare books, 4.8925 million ordinary books, 907700 bound newspapers and periodicals, and more than 8100 kinds of newspapers and periodicals. It has a collection of 150000 engravings. The library has 1.7482 million e-books and more than 170 databases, including 27 self built databases with the theme of Zhejiang genealogy, local chronicles and other characteristic resources.
Precious ancient books
As of 2016, there are 822000 ancient books in Zhejiang Library, including 150000 rare books. There are 109 kinds of Tibetan ancient books, of which 15 are included in the national precious ancient books list, including wenlange Sikuquanshu, Dunhuang Tibetan writing volume of the Tang Dynasty Mahayana wuliangshouzongyaojing, three color manuscripts of the early Qing Dynasty Dazangjing (Ganzhuer part), wood block printed edition of the 15th year of Kangxi (1676) and No The fifth Dalai Lama's book "pharmacist's classic" and the Ming Dynasty's hand copied copy "San Bao Nian Yao Jing" etc.
Journals of the Republic of China
According to the information on the library's official website in August 2018, Zhejiang Library has collected journals of the Republic of China from the beginning of the last century to the 1940s for digital processing, and has initially built "journal database of the Republic of China" and "newspaper database of collection 1937-1954", covering philosophy, politics, economy, military, law, literature, history, education and other categories, with a total of more than 204 kinds of newspapers and periodicals.

As of December 2016, Zhejiang Library has collected 2126 kinds of documents and materials about Zhejiang since the founding of the people's Republic of China, including newly compiled local Yearbook, local chronicles, local history, local overview, genealogy, maps, CPPCC literature and history materials, various monographs, various newspapers and periodicals, including 48 archives of former CPPCC Chairman Mao Qihua, including 1213 old photos, There are 1230 contract documents in Qingyuan and Fujian, 584 works of Zhejiang people, and 830 volumes.

Support and guarantee
Zhejiang Library takes the lead in setting up a service alliance for lectures, exhibitions, information, network technology and visual impairment of Zhejiang provincial public libraries, and organizing the implementation of Zhejiang Provincial Public Library through reading and borrowing network. In 2000, he became a member of "China Digital Library Project" alliance. In 2005, Zhejiang University Library and Zhejiang science and Technology Information Research Institute jointly set up "Zhejiang joint knowledge navigation network" and joined the Zhejiang science and technology literature co construction and sharing platform.

Document development
In 2005, Zhejiang genealogy compendium, a large-scale reference book, was exclusively published by Zhejiang Library. It describes more than 12000 genealogies of genealogical books in Zhejiang Province, of which about half are collected in Zhejiang Province, half are collected from other provinces and overseas, and about 500 genealogies of genealogical books collected in Zhejiang Province and from other provinces and cities. Besides the Han nationality, there are also the surnames of Hui, she and other ethnic minorities.
In 2011, Zhejiang Library and National Library Press jointly photocopied the rare local chronicles series of Zhejiang Library, a total of 62 volumes, selected 43 kinds of rare local chronicles of Zhejiang Library, most of which are printed, manuscripts and transcripts of provincial, government, state, department and county chronicles with less collection units, and high-value local chronicles, among which the joint catalogue of Chinese Local Chronicles is the only one, There are 6 kinds that are not recorded.
In 2012, Zhejiang Library compiled, edited by Zhao Daxiong and programmed by CHEN Ye, the database of seals of Chinese ancient characters was published by Zhejiang electronic audio visual publishing house. The database contains 2192 Chinese ancient characters with 35601 seals, and contains the collections of seal of Chinese Calligraphers and painters, seal of Chinese collector, seal of Chinese collector and seal of famous ancient Chinese painters There are more than 100 kinds of comprehensive and private seals, such as "modern Yinren Zhuan", "Qibaishi yinpu" and "seal cutting four masters yinpu". Each person has a brief introduction, and is equipped with a portrait as far as possible. Each seal is attached with an explanation, indicating the source. It is scanned by 600 pixels according to the original size, and the schema is divided into two sizes.
