Bagong mountain
Located in Huainan City, Anhui Province, China, Bagong mountain is a famous cultural Resort and an important town of Han culture.
Bagongshan was the main activity place of Liu An, the king of Huainan in the Han Dynasty. A large number of first-class intellectuals at that time were gathered here, and the profound Huainanzi was also born here.
Bagong mountain is also the birthplace of green and healthy food - tofu. It is recognized that Huainan Wang Liu An and Bagong are the inventors of tofu.
Location context
Bagong mountain, formerly known as Beishan, is named because its mountains are located in the north of Shouxian county. Its main peak is located in Tangshan and Shanwang townships of Xiejiaji district. Because Liu An, the king of Huainan, and Bagong studied immortality and alchemy here, later generations also called Beishan Bagong mountain. Others refer to Feiling mountain (also known as wuzhu mountain, located four miles north of Shouxian county) as Bagong mountain. In other words, Bagong mountain is different in narrow sense and broad sense. In narrow sense, it specifically refers to Feiling mountain and in broad sense, it generally refers to the mountains in the north of the city. According to the records of Fengtai County annals by Guangxu, Bagong mountains "stand in a corner and are surrounded by more than 100 Li". They stretch about 25 km from north to South and 5 km from east to west, with three sides of Huaihe River and one side of Feihe River.
Among the eight Gong mountains, Feiling mountain, Zijin Mountain and Xiashi mountain are the most famous.
Bagong mountain is located in the transitional zone between Huaibei plain and Dabie Mountain. It spans Shouxian County, Fengtai County, Changfeng County and Huainan City. There are more than 300 mountains. Under the jurisdiction of Shouxian County: it starts from the east slope of Dashi mountain in Huainan in the southeast, crisscrossing with Huainan City, and ends at the north foot of lvti mountain in Fengtai County in the West and North.
Bagong mountain was first called yuntiao mountain, Beishan Mountain, Chushan mountain and Feiling mountain. It was renamed Bagong mountain in the Western Han Dynasty.
Main peaks
Feiling mountain, under the jurisdiction of Shouxian County, was originally built with the Huainan King Liu'an temple, and its southeast foot has the Huainan King Liu'an tomb. During the reign of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Wu Kun once set up a tablet in front of the tomb with six characters of "Huainan King Liu'an tomb" engraved in the shade; and the southwest foot has the tomb of Lianpo, a famous general of Zhao state during the Warring States period.
Xiashi mountain is under the jurisdiction of Fengtai County. There are two Xiashi mountains in the East and the West. The two mountains are divided into one city to prevent Jinyao. Dongxia Stone Mountain has cliff stone inscriptions of the Northern Song Dynasty, "Xiashi Qinglan" is one of the eight scenic spots in Fengtai.
Yongquan mountain (Leike mountain) is under the jurisdiction of Shouxian county. In the south of Yongquan mountain, there is Xie Gong Temple (also known as Yongquan Shanfang). It was built in 1539 to commemorate Xie Xuan, a famous general of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The temple was most popular in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, and local scholars paid homage to it frequently.
Zijinshan, also known as Zijinshan since Ming and Qing Dynasties, is located in Tangshan Township, Xiejiaji District, 1.5km away from sanwangpu in the south, Shitang mountain in the west, CI mountain in the East, 5km away from Shouxian County in the southwest, Feihe River in the South and Huaihe River in the north. It is majestic, precipitous and craggy, controlling ancient Shouchun. It is said that Liu An, the king of Huainan, once held a banquet in Zijin Mountain; Jingda, the king of Qi in the Southern Tang Dynasty, and other zengliezhai in Zijin Mountain (eighteen Lianzhu Village); chairong (Zhou Shizong) of the Later Zhou Dynasty also stationed troops in this mountain; Zijin Diecui is one of the eight sceneries in ancient Shouzhou.
Bagong mountain is located 5 Li north of the county, separated by Feihe River. It is 8.9 km long and 2 km wide, covering an area of about 17.8 square kilometers. It covers an area of 30000 mu, accounting for 0.68% of the total land area of the county. The altitude is 20-241 m. It is mainly composed of limestone, dolomite, limestone weathering material, limestone limestone limestone, dolomite, residual and slope deposit landforms. The top ridge mound is composed of gravel and shallow soil, The slope is 20-25 degrees. Soil and water loss is serious, and most of them are dry and lack of water. The foothills are mostly accumulated by limestone, purple shale, clay and other weathering materials, and the purple red soil is characterized by slope deposition.
There are more than 50 peaks in Bagong mountain. The mountains in the territory are described as follows:
Bagong mountain (Feiling mountain): 2.5km northwest of the county, with an altitude of 168.5m. "Feishui" says: "Bagong mountain is named after eight scholars." In the Song Dynasty, there was Liu'an temple, the king of Huainan, on the mountain. There were hidden rooms and stone wells outside the temple. It belongs to the branch peak of Bagong mountain. There are: Xujia mountain, 168.5 meters above sea level. Banjieshan, 116 meters above sea level. Caojiashan is 149 meters above sea level. Laoguishan, 133.3 meters above sea level.
Siding mountain: 4 kilometers away from the county seat, 218.2 meters above sea level. On the mountain, there are Grandma Temple (formerly known as Dongyue Temple and Bixia Temple), and on the northeast slope, there are ruiquan temple and Dongyue Temple. In the spring of the 28th year of the Republic of China, it was destroyed by war. There is a temple fair on March 15 every year. To the south, you can overlook Shouchun City, and to the west, you can see Huaihe River and Huaibei plain. Tourism can be developed.
Wuzhushan: also known as laomu Zhushan (named for its protruding stone shaped like a pig). It is 2km north of the county seat, and there are agate spring and big spring at the south foot of the mountain. Spring water can make famous Bagongshan tofu.
Baiheshan: also known as laomiaotai, with an altitude of 241.2 meters, is the highest peak of Bagong mountain system, and there are many karst phenomena on the mountain.
Fenghuang Mountain: 2.5 kilometers north of the county, 143.2 meters above sea level. The East, South and West are limestone, and the north is purple shale. The famous pearl spring is located at the southern foot of Shandong Province (one of the eight scenic spots in Shouyang).
Guishan: named for its turtle like shape, it is 4km away from the county seat, bordering Fengtai in the north and siding mountain in the west, with an altitude of 160.9m. There is a tomb of Lu Guixiang in Song Dynasty, and a stone house in front of it. It is said that it is the reading place of Lu Gong.
Leike mountain: guyongquan mountain. Yongquan temple is located on the south slope of the mountain. It is 3km away from the county seat and 71.8m above sea level. This is Zijin Diecui, one of the eight scenes of Shouyang in ancient times. There are many Limestones on the mountain, and Zijin stone can be used as inkstone (Zijin inkstone was used as tribute in song and Yuan Dynasties).
Hongjiashan: 2.5km southeast of the county, 48.2m above sea level.
Kongjiashan: 2.5km northeast of the county seat, located in the west of Hongjia, 48m above sea level. The rock is mainly potash feldspar.
Dashishan: 3.5km northeast of the county, 170.2m above sea level. The mountain is full of rocks, mainly limestone, which can be used to make stone stones and steles.
Navel mountain: in Dashi Shanxi, also known as Jiazi mountain and Mada mountain, with an altitude of 199.4 meters.
Huashan: 3.5 kilometers north of the county, 194.8 meters above sea level, limestone.
Lijian mountain: 2.5 km north of the county, 133.8 meters above sea level, the mountain is rich in limestone, which can be used as decorative plate development.
Mashan: in the southwest of Fenghuang mountain, on the west side of the county cement plant, 2.5 kilometers away from the county, 51 meters above sea level, there are many ancient tombs on the mountain. The rock quality is poor.
Songlin mountain: also known as Tushan, with an altitude of 123.3 meters.
Crab mouth: 135.4 meters above sea level.
Upside down tripod: 221.5 meters above sea level, there are many karst phenomena on the mountain.
Shilongwa: 151.2 meters above sea level.
Wolf cave: 145.5 meters above sea level.
Mopan Mountain: 150.4 meters above sea level.
Miaoshan: 139.4 meters above sea level. It is said that there was a white pagoda temple in the Northern Song Dynasty, which was abandoned for a long time.
Doushan: also known as Feishan, 171.8 meters above sea level.
BOLUO mountain: 164.6 meters above sea level.
Xiaojie mountain: 121 meters above sea level.
Damatai: 175.2 meters above sea level.
Ermatai: 180.5 meters above sea level.
Mantou mountain: known as Zhuxia mountain in ancient times, also known as yunwo mountain, with an altitude of 156.5 meters.
Huoshishan: it is named after the production of flint, with an altitude of 169.4 meters.

FANGNIUSHAN: 178.2 meters above sea level.

Lvti mountain: Shoufeng boundary mountain, north of Fengtai County. At an altitude of 123.3 meters, there is Ma paoquan under it.
Thorn mountain: in the north of siding mountain, 195.5 meters above sea level.
Meat mountain: 191 meters above sea level.
Maojiashan: 2 li north of Sidingshan, fansanfeng, 226 meters above sea level.
Palladium tooth mountain: 224 meters above sea level.
There are Manshan (commonly known as Guishan), Gushan and Luanshan on the North Bank of the Huaihe River; Yuwang mountain and Xiashi mountain on the West Bank of the Huaihe River; yandunshan, sunjiadashan, matishan, laomuzhu mountain, Yuwang mountain, dongxiashi mountain and Sanfeng mountain on the South Bank of the Huaihe River. All of them are Shungeng mountains. They enter the county from xiashishankou in the southwest, winding southeast, about 15 kilometers long.
Geology and geomorphology
The strata in Bagongshan area belong to North China stratigraphic area and Bengbu stratigraphic area, belonging to South type and North facies strata.
The strata are mainly exposed in the Archean Wuhe group, the Proterozoic Qingbaikou and Sinian strata, and most of the Paleozoic Cambrian strata; the Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, Permian, Triassic, Jurassic and Upper Cretaceous strata are missing or not exposed on the surface; while the lower Cretaceous and Upper Tertiary strata are revealed by drilling to be under the widely distributed Quaternary.
1. Archean
The Wuhe group belongs to mixed gneiss. A small amount of biotite hornblende gneiss is exposed on the surface, which is a regional metamorphic lithofacies. It is distributed in Shouxian county
