Gordon site is located in Weixi County 90 kilometers northeast of Tacheng Township Gordon village, about 500 meters west of the East Bank of the lapu river cliff, about 50 meters away from the river. The site was discovered in 1958 and excavated by the archaeological team of the Provincial Museum. The Gordon site was identified as a Neolithic site. This undoubtedly filled the gap of the Neolithic culture in Diqing Prefecture, and confirmed that there was human reproduction in the Neolithic period in Diqing Prefecture. Comparing the manufacturing technology of the unearthed cultural relics with the Neolithic artifacts excavated in the adjacent areas, it is found that the upper limit is not earlier than the age of the karuo site in Changdu, Tibet (4000-5000 years ago), and the lower limit is not later than the Baiyangdian site in Binchuan (3000-3500 years ago).
