Qin Xianyang Palace site is the capital site of Qin state during the Warring States period, and Qin Xianyang Palace Site Museum is a comprehensive site museum composed of cultural relics and historical sites, which comprehensively reflects the social culture of Qin Dynasty. The shape design of the museum building is small, big and small, with a flat top and a four-a covered bucket shape, with a unique style. The museum is divided into three exhibition rooms: the first exhibition room mainly displays the sand table model of Xianyang City in Qin Dynasty, which mainly reflects the spectacular scenes of palaces, cities and gardens around Xianyang and Guanzhong area in Qin Dynasty. The second exhibition room mainly introduces the archaeological excavation results of the site of Xianyang City in Qin Dynasty, and displays some precious cultural relics from the site of the palace. Among them, hollow bricks with dragon and phoenix patterns, Qin imperial edict plates, and Qin wall paintings are all exquisite works unearthed from Xianyang City in Qin Dynasty. The third exhibition room is mainly a sand table for the protection planning of Xianyang Palace site in Qin Dynasty.
Qin Xianyang Palace Site Museum
The Xianyang Palace Site Museum of Qin Dynasty is a comprehensive site museum which is composed of cultural relics and historical sites and reflects the social culture of Qin Dynasty. It was built and opened to the outside world in August 1995 with a national investment of more than 1 million yuan. Xianyang Palace site is the capital site of Qin in the Warring States period. It is located in Beiyuan area of Yaodian Town, Weicheng District, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, 15 kilometers away from Xianyang City in the West. Gaoganqu in the north, Weihe River in the south, talpo in Weiyang town in the west, baijiazui in Zhengyang town in the East, 12 km from east to west, 6 km from north to south, with a protected area of 72 square kilometers.
Development history
In August 1995, the Museum of Xianyang Palace site was officially opened.
In 1988, it was announced by the State Council as the third batch of key cultural relics protection units in China.
In August 1994, it was identified as one of the four major sites in Shaanxi Province.
In 2000, it was rated as one of the 100 major archaeological discoveries in China in the 20th century.
architectural composition
The main building faces south with a unique style, simple and solemn, and elegant environment inside and outside. At present, there are three exhibition rooms. The first exhibition hall mainly reflects the Qin people, the Qin nationality and the Qin palace; the second exhibition hall mainly displays the cultural relics unearthed in the excavation area of the Qin palace; and the third exhibition hall mainly displays the historical evolution and protection planning of Xianyang city. The cultural relics storehouse covers an area of nearly 100 square meters, with a collection of more than 500 pieces, including 28 precious cultural relics.
