Located in the north of Jianjun East Road, the memorial hall of the New Fourth Army was built in 1986. It is divided into four scenic spots: group sculpture, stele forest, exhibition hall and garden. Entering the gate of the memorial hall, there are two groups of tall red granite sculptures on the East and west sides of the square: "fighting bravely" and "supporting the army". On both sides of the bridge, there is a statue of young pioneers carved from a whole piece of white marble. In the middle of the central square stands the memorial to the reconstruction of the New Fourth Army Headquarters inscribed by Li Xiannian. On both sides of the monument are more than 120 steles displaying the works of revolutionaries of the older generation and famous calligraphers from all over China.

New Fourth Army memorial hall in Yancheng
Yancheng new Fourth Army memorial hall is the only professional New Fourth Army memorial hall in China. The exhibition hall of the museum is a modern building. The eye-catching blue and white "N4A" armband pattern is inlaid above the main entrance of the exhibition hall, and the flag shaped granite engravings on both sides artistically reproduce the historical scenes of the victory meeting of the New Fourth Army and the Eighth Route Army at SHIZIKOU in Baiju and the reconstruction of the New Fourth Army headquarters in Yancheng after the South Anhui Incident.
On November 17, 2017, it won the title of the fifth national civilized unit.
Introduction to the memorial
The memorial hall of the New Fourth Army is a national patriotic education base for primary and secondary schools, a national patriotic education demonstration base and a national advanced collective of cultural work. Main library area
The main area of the New Fourth Army memorial hall in Yancheng is located in the north of Jianjun East Road. It was completed and opened to the outside world in October 1986. According to relevant data, the main museum area is 330 meters long from north to South and 110 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 50 mu. It is divided into four scenic spots: group sculpture, forest of Steles, exhibition hall and garden. At the center of the square is an 11.75-meter-high "monument to the reconstruction of the headquarters of the New Fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army". The front of the monument is inscribed by Li Xiannian, the back is engraved with the inscription of "the meeting of Yanfu" written by Huang Kecheng, and there is a fountain in front of the monument. On the East and west sides of the square stand two groups of tall red granite sculptures, which are composed of semicircular and high relief sculptures carved from granite, with a height of 5 meters and a width of 7 meters, called "heroic fighting" and "supporting the army and supporting the front". On the front screen is engraved with Mao Zedong's handwritten order of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Communist Party of China. On both sides of the screen are statues of Chen Yi, Liu Shaoqi, Zhang Yunyi, Lai Chuanzhu and Deng Zihui, which make people feel that after the "Southern Anhui Incident", the Communist Party of China rebuilt the New Fourth Army To smash the plot of the Kuomintang diehards to cancel the New Fourth Army and to save the Chinese nation from danger. Jianjun square
Jianjun square is located in the center of the most prosperous section of Yancheng City, which is the junction of Jianjun road and Jiefang Road. It was originally the geographical center of Yancheng City, and the development of Yancheng city also expanded from this point to the surrounding. There is a bronze statue of the New Fourth Army riding in the middle of Jianjun square, which is commonly known as Tongma square. The memorial tower of the reconstructed military headquarters of the New Fourth Army, with the bronze statue of the cavalry of the New Fourth Army as the main body, is the city symbol of Yancheng. According to the specific idea of Guan Wenwei, a veteran soldier of the New Fourth Army, the statue was created and designed by Professor Wang Keqing, director of sculpture of the Central Academy of fine arts. A young and brave soldier of the New Fourth Army, with a big knife on his back, holding the reins in his hand, rides on the back of a fighting horse, facing the sun, It symbolizes the eastward advance of the New Fourth Army and the opening up of the Anti Japanese base area behind the enemy in Central China. The statue is 4 meters high, 3.8 meters long and weighs 3250 kg. The base of the tower is made of black granite. It is trapezoidal on four sides and faces east on the front. It is inscribed by general Zhang Aiping, former commander of the fourth division of the New Fourth Army: "the memorial tower for the reconstruction of the New Fourth Army headquarters." On the back facing west, the inscription approved by general Zhang Aiping was written by the late calligrapher Bao Shen.
Reconstruction of the former site of the New Fourth Army Headquarters
The former site of the New Fourth Army reconstruction headquarters, commonly known as Taishan temple, is located in Jianjun West Road, Yancheng City. It is the site of the New Fourth Army reconstruction headquarters after the South Anhui Incident. The old houses, cultural relics, historical materials and photos of Liu Shaoqi, Chen Yi and other leaders are displayed.

The exhibition hall is divided into six exhibition halls. Ye Ting
Ye Ting was born on September 10, 1896 and died on April 8, 1946. His original name was Ye Weixun. His name was Xiyi and his name was Xiping. He was a Hakka from Huiyang District, Guangdong Province. He was the founder of the Chinese people's Liberation Army and one of the important leaders of the New Fourth Army. He was a world-renowned politician and militarist.
The Fourth Army of the national revolutionary army was known as the "Iron Army" during the northern expedition. He took part in the command of Nanchang Uprising and served as the commander in chief of the former enemy. When he took part in Guangzhou Uprising, he was commander in chief of the uprising army, industry, agriculture and Red Army. During the Anti Japanese War, he also served as commander in chief of the New Fourth Army. He was detained by the Kuomintang in the South Anhui Incident. He refused Chiang Kai Shek's coercion and inducement and wrote the famous "prison song" to express his ambition. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he was rescued and released from prison, and was re accepted as a member of the Communist Party of China. In April 1946, he On August 8, on the way back to Yan'an with his wife Li Xiuwen and comrades Qin bangxian, Deng FA and Wang Ruofei, they suffered an air crash. In 1988, they were identified by the Central Military Commission as one of the 36 founding militarists.

Liu Shaoqi
Liu Shaoqi (1898-1969) used to be named Liu Weihuang, but his pseudonyms were Tao Shangxing and Hu Fu. He is from Ningxiang, Hunan Province. He joined the Socialist Youth League in 1920. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1921. In May 1927, he was elected a member of the CPC Central Committee at the Fifth National Congress of the CPC. In January 1931, he was elected as an alternate member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee at the Fourth Plenary Session of the sixth CPC Central Committee. In the autumn of the same year, he served as secretary of the all China Federation of trade unions. In 1932, he served as secretary of the Fujian provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China. Took part in the long march.
