Wujiazhai herringbone bridge on Yunnan Vietnam Railway

Wujiazhai herringbone bridge on Yunnan Vietnam Railway is located between Duqing and Luogu station in beiwankuang Township, Pingbian County. It is a huge steel frame bridge on Yunnan Vietnam Railway (from Kunming to Hanoi, Vietnam). It is all connected by steel plate, groove, angle steel and rivet. The herringbone bridge spans 67 meters between the two cliffs and is 100 meters from the valley bottom. It is famous for its unique design and exquisite modeling. The herringbone bridge was designed by the French female engineer Bauer boding. It was started on March 10, 1907 and completed on December 6, 1908. It was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Yunnan Province in 1998. Transportation: there are two routes to the herringbone bridge: 1. Because the passenger transport of Yunnan Vietnam Railway has been stopped, but the mixed train between Kaiyuan and Hekou has two passenger cars, so you can get on at any small station from Mengzi to Hekou, get off at Wan (ting) Tang station, and then walk on a section of railway. Attention: there is no fixed departure time for mixed trains, which can be known only after arriving at the station. 2. The other is from Pingbian County to Hekou by self driving or renting a car for 30 kilometers, then turn to the village Tanshi road to Wantang at Baizhai. After a few kilometers, turn to the simple highway along Nanxi River to build the power station in Wantang Township and drive for about 40 kilometers until it stops at the end of the highway. Then walk more than one kilometer to reach the foot of the herringbone bridge. Attention: there is no gas station, no car repair point, no shop along this line, so you should prepare as much as you can. 1. Return to Pingbian - you can return to Pingbian County on the same day of self driving or car rental tour. 2. Continue to go back to Baizhai along the simple highway, along the line of Nanxi River and Kunhe River Highway, cross majiaobao, and then go to Hekou County to see the broken bridge and newly built bridge between Hekou station of Kunhe river line and China Vietnam Railway.
