Panjiakou was called Lulong village in ancient times. In the 11th year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (206 A.D.), Cao Cao made a northern expedition to Wuhuan and left the village. Panjiakou new pass was built in the 41st year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty (1562 AD), and was garrisoned by heavy troops. Luanhe River from the flow inside the entrance, on both sides of the rock stand, the terrain is dangerous. From 1975 to 1981, the government built the Panjiakou Reservoir at the junction of Kuancheng, Qianxi and Xinglong counties in the upper reaches of the Luanhe River. Xifengkou Great Wall is located in Panjiakou Reservoir area, and its main body has been submerged underwater. The ten-year water diversion project from Luanhe River to Tianjin cuts across the Great Wall, and two majestic passes, xifengkou and Panjiakou, are inlaid with a pool of blue waves, thus forming a unique view of the Great Wall underwater Great Wall. The underwater Great Wall of Panjiakou is submerged into the reservoir along the ridge. The exposed part in the water is the top of the enemy tower of the submerged Great Wall.
Panjiakou, known as lulongsai in ancient times, is located in the north of Qianxi County, Hebei Province. In the Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, it began to set up a pass in Panjiakou, which is located in the north of the current site. In 1562, a new pass and a castle were built at this site. Guancheng is two Zhang two feet high and 219 Zhang six feet long. It has two southwest gates and was once guarded by Qianzong. In October 1975, the country began to build the Panjiakou Reservoir, the key project of Luanhe Water Diversion Project. At the end of 1984, the water storage was completed, and the Panjiakou Great Wall submerged into the water, forming a unique underwater Great Wall.
