Historical development
In 1693, Zheng Banqiao was born in gubanqiao, dongmenwai, Xinghua County, Jiangsu Province. At that time, Hua he was 12 years old, Gao fenghan was 11 years old, Bian Shoumin was 10 years old, Wang Shishen was 8 years old, Li he was 8 years old, Jin Nong was 7 years old, and Huang Shen was 7 years old. These future "Yangzhou Eight monsters", like pieces of chess, scattered in the soil of Kangxi and Qianlong. Gubanqiao is a wooden bridge on the moat outside the east gate of Xinghua ancient city. The lane where Zheng Banqiao's former residence is located is called Zhuxiang. Banqiao once said: "there are two cottages in Yu's family, and bamboo is planted in the South..." In 1983, the Xinghua municipal government renovated the hut, which was once planted with bamboo.
In the south of the former residence is the side house, and in the north is the main house, commonly known as "Zheng family hall house". Two masters, Zhao Puchu and Liu Haisu, inscribed plaques of "former residence of Zheng Banqiao" and "former residence of Banqiao" respectively for the entrance hall of their former residence. When they enter from the entrance hall, they see the wall and turn left to suddenly enter the courtyard. The courtyard is lush, with old bamboos and new bamboos emitting fragrance, potted orchids and plantains interspersed with moss, indicating the long history of their former residence.
In 1993, the Xinghua municipal government expanded the ZhengBanQiao memorial hall into the Xinghua Museum. Shu Tong and Qi Gong wrote the name of the museum. The new hall, together with the four archways and Liyuan, is a new cultural village in the ancient city of Xinghua.

Forty seven plaques are hung on the four plaques in the south, recording the deeds of 74 sages in the history of Xinghua, which are admired by later generations. The inscriptions on the plaques are all written by famous contemporary calligraphers, which has high artistic appreciation value. There is a lacquer painting hanging in the north house of the former residence. The couplets on both sides of the lacquer painting were written by Zheng Banqiao in Fanxian: "autumn comes from the sound of summer rain, and spring comes from the cold plum pistil." The blue stone and ink bamboo pictures on both sides of the East and the West are the original works of the Qing Dynasty, which have been collected.
Zheng Banqiao's bedroom is in the east of the main hall. The cupboards, suitcases, lampstands and so on are all old things he used. Later generations will display other imitations of "hard to get confused". To the west of the hall is the room of Fei, Zheng Banqiao's lactating mother. In the room are displayed the chronology of Zheng Banqiao's major events, as well as all kinds of works and papers on Zheng Banqiao.
On the east side of the courtyard is the kitchen, in which there is a woodcut couplet: "cabbage, green salt, indica rice, tile pot, Tianshui, chrysanthemum tea", written by Zheng Banqiao to his cousin yuan Anshi. On the South lintel of the former residence, there is a brick carving of "talking to avoid the wind and rain", and under it, there is a Hsinchu standing upright, like the shadow of Banqiao old man's "cutting away the complicated and simplifying".

Life
Zheng Banqiao (1693-1765) was a painter, calligrapher and poet in Qing Dynasty. Name Xie, word Ke Rou, number Banqiao. xinghua
He was originally from Yangzhou. He is one of the representatives of "Yangzhou Eight monsters". At the age of 6, he studied CI with his father. At the age of 16, he studied Ci from Lu Zhen in his hometown. At the age of 17, he studied in maojiaqiao in Zhenzhou (now Yizheng). At the age of 20, he studied Ci from Lu Zhongyuan in his hometown. At the age of 23, he worked in Jiangcun school in Zhenzhou. At the age of 24, he was a middle-aged scholar. At the age of 26, he set up a school in Zhuhong Town, Xinghua. At that time, he was a middle-aged scholar. Between the age of 30 and 40, his father, son and wife died one after another. His family was in a difficult situation and he lived by selling paintings and calligraphy. At the age of 40, he took the exam in Nanjing and won the mid-term examination. When he was 44 years old, he went to Beijing to take the exam and was the 88th Jinshi in the second grade. Qianlong seven years (1742) spring, as Shandong fan county (now belongs to Henan) magistrate. In 1746, it was transferred to Weixian County, Shandong Province.
The next year, the county was hit by disaster. He opened a warehouse to borrow grain from the people, and ordered the rich households to sell the grain they had accumulated. During his term of office, he dealt with civil affairs, helped the poor people more, but did not help the rich businessmen. Because of this, he offended the gentry and was dismissed in 1753. Therefore, at that time, Zhu Qinglei of Jinan engraved the seal of "Kangxi scholar Yongzheng was a Jinshi of Qianlong" for Banqiao. Qianlong died in the green garden beside shengxiandang in Xinghua City in 30 years. At the age of 73, he was buried in guanruanzhuang (now guanruan village, Daduo Town, Xinghua City). There was no son behind him, and Zheng Tian, the son of Zheng Mo, adopted him.
After returning to Yangzhou, he made a living selling calligraphy and painting, and returned to Xinghua in his later years. Zheng Banqiao is good at painting, especially orchid and bamboo. He is also good at calligraphy. He combines regular script, line script and Li script. He uses the painting method to write and uses Li script to join line script. He has his own style and is known as "six and a half script", which later generations call "luanshipu Street". He is also good at poetry. His works are clear and fluent, and are not bound by verve and style. Among them, "fierce officials", "lynching evil", "orphan line", "escape from famine line" and other works describe people's suffering; the "letter to the family", "Daoqing" and other works are naturally frank and praised by the world. He is also known as Zheng Banqiao's three great poets, calligraphers and painters. Zheng Banqiao wrote his own poems, CI, Xiaochang and Jiashu, and his friends compiled his paintings. Today, his literary works include more than 1000 poems, more than 100 Ci poems, more than 10 songs, more than 100 couplets, more than 100 letters, hundreds of prefaces and postscripts, judgments, inscriptions and horizontal drapes, and there are nearly 1000 existing paintings and calligraphy.
