Luochuan folk custom museum is located next to national highway 210, Fengqi Town, Luochuan County. Covering an area of 4 mu, it has 3 exhibition rooms, with a display area of nearly 600 square meters. It is the first folk custom museum in Shaanxi Province. It was officially opened on September 16, 1994. The museum adopts the traditional courtyard form of Luochuan in Qing Dynasty. In the courtyard, there are not only the common caves in Northern Shaanxi, but also the tile roofed houses in the rural areas of Guanzhong, reflecting the characteristics of folk houses in the juncture of Guanzhong and Northern Shaanxi. The exterior of the house is decorated with various folk auspicious patterns by folk woodcarving, stone carving, brick carving and other crafts. The whole building is antique and elegant. There are two exhibition areas in the folk custom museum: the brief history of Luochuan and the folk custom of Luochuan. The brief history of Luochuan is mainly composed of cultural relics, which systematically reflects the historical context of Luochuan since the Neolithic age.

Architecture

Luochuan folk custom museum is located in the north of Luochuan County. It is a group of quadrangle buildings restored according to the style of folk houses in Qing Dynasty. There are not only common caves in Northern Shaanxi, but also tile houses in middle and rural areas. It was built in 1985, covering an area of 4 mu, with a construction area of about 1800 square meters. The main building was restored and built according to the style of folk houses in the Qing Dynasty.

The whole building reflects the unique style of residential buildings in the connecting area of Northern Shaanxi plateau and Guanzhong Plain. Outdoor folk auspicious patterns, using folk wood carving, brick carving, stone carving and other traditional carving techniques, are exquisitely carved and all inclusive, which is a good place for tourists.
