Zhangyuan Han tomb, one of the Cao family tombs, is located in the middle of Weiwu Avenue in Bozhou City. It is now a national key cultural relics protection unit.
The tomb is a large brick multi chambered tomb. It was excavated in 1989. It consists of 11 chambers, including the front chamber, the middle chamber, the back chamber and the ear chamber. All of them are built with Corded bricks. To the East, the tomb gate is of stone structure, with stone carvings on its forehead, door frame and door leaf. Dragon and tiger pictures are carved on the forehead, which means to avoid evil spirits. The south side of the door frame is carved with waiters of Yonghui. Hui is also a broom. According to records of the historian, the book of Gaozu, it is said that the grand duke embraces Hui and greets the door, but he goes. Embracing Hui is a courtesy to welcome guests and shows respect for them. On the north side of the door frame, there is a servant holding the box respectfully. Most of the tombs are domed and a few are arched. The tombs are connected by arched roofs. As the tomb has been stolen many times, there are few burial objects left. The identity of the owner of the tomb can not be determined only by the unearthed jade pigs, pottery pots and other cultural relics, which need to be verified in the future.
In November 2000, the tomb was repaired and reinforced, and the imitation Han Heng hall and wall were added, making it another tourist attraction in Bozhou City.
