Ancient tombs in Dulan

The site is located 6 kilometers to the west of Zongjia township government. It was originally a Gobi desert, but now it has been covered by green shade, covering an area of about 50000 square meters. The ancient Qiang people excavated a 300 meter diameter semi-circular depression here, and put the soil block in the middle to form an artificial earth mountain more than 30 meters high, which is called "talitaoliha" by Mongolians, that is, the top of the mountain with earth cellar. Shantou may be used for sacrificial activities, and the flat land under the mountain may be a place for ritual and entertainment. Under the cliff around the depression, there are traces of earthenware pits and pieces of broken pottery. Beside them are houses, animal pens and walls made of earthen embryos. The unearthed cultural relics include stone ware, bronze ware, pottery ware, bone horn ware, jade, shell ornaments and colored decorative woolen goods.
