Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum

Since January 2010, after more than a year of preparation, the newly built Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum, with an exhibition area of 5200 square meters, integrates collection, exhibition, publicity, education, research and other functions. Through precious historical pictures, cultural relics and historical materials, combined with sound, light, electricity and other modern means, it reproduces the historical picture of the world's agricultural development and displays China's agricultural machinery We have achieved fruitful results.

Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum

Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum is located opposite to China Yituo in Luoyang. It costs 20 million yuan and takes more than one year to collect a large number of agricultural machinery with historical significance, such as the first generation of domestic crawler tractors, the first generation of amphibious wheeled tractors and so on.

The museum adopts market-oriented operation and is trying to explore the path of commercial industrial tourism.

Development history

Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum started construction in January 2010, with an investment of nearly 20 million yuan and an exhibition area of nearly 5000 square meters. It integrates collection, exhibition, publicity, education and research. Through precious historical pictures, cultural relics and historical materials, combined with sound, light, electricity and other modern means, the historical picture of agricultural development can be reproduced. The collection of imported tractors and representative models of domestic tractors in the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China completely shows the development process of China's agricultural machinery.

China Yituo is a project aided by the Soviet Union in the 1950s. The Soviet style classic factory buildings are well preserved. It, together with mine factory and bearing factory, constitutes the most important core building complex in Luoyang Industrial Zone. It is a complete socialist architectural landscape belt, which fully reflects the characteristics of industrial heritage in the period of planned economy. Since the trial operation, the monthly income of Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum is about 10000 yuan. Zhang Zhilei, the person in charge, said that they are further clarifying the service objects and actively developing group tourism. It is reported that the "Dongfanghong Industrial Tour" with Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum as the core has formed a complete route including factory visit and manufacturing process visit. The follow-up scenic spots such as the old equipment theme park of the 156 project aided by the Soviet Union have also been started.

Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum officially joined Luoyang Tourism annual ticket on April 5, 2013. Users of Luoyang Tourism annual ticket can visit it free of charge from now on.

Collection

Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum has a collection of China's first generation of crawler tractors, China's first generation of amphibious wheeled tractors, China's first generation of small wheeled tractors, China's first generation of high-power wheeled tractors and many other agricultural machinery of historical significance. An exhibition vehicle has witnessed the development process of China's agricultural mechanization.

In 2010, the museum also collected wheat harvesters and tractors that Premier Wen Jiabao boarded during his inspection in Xuchang.

China Yituo

China Yituo is one of 156 key construction projects built during the first Five-Year Plan in China. It is the largest agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprise in China. Its "Dongfanghong" brand has become the synonym of China's agricultural mechanization. Since 1959, a large number of merchants and foreign guests have visited Yituo every year to discuss trade and technical exchanges. In 2000, the tourism development plan of Luoyang City listed China Yituo as a tourist attraction project. In the same year, Luoyang Tourism Bureau designated China Yituo as the designated unit of Luoyang tourism route

In 2004, China Yituo was listed in the first batch of "national industrial tourism demonstration sites".

The relevant person in charge of China Yituo said that as the leader of China's agricultural machinery industry, China Yituo has the responsibility to make more people pay attention to agricultural mechanization and the history and future of China's farming.
