Zhaojin Xiangshan scenic spot is located in the northwest of Yaozhou District, across Miaowan, Zhaojin and Liulin towns, with a planning area of 312 square kilometers. It is the fourth batch of provincial scenic spots announced by the provincial government in May 1999.

Yaozhou is 50 kilometers north of the city, 100 kilometers south of Xi'an, with a planned area of 312 square kilometers and a core area of 83 square kilometers. The main scenic spots include xuejiazhai revolutionary site, former site of red army barracks, former site of chenjiapo conference and Daxiang mountain. The scenic spot belongs to warm temperate continental semi humid monsoon climate zone, with cool climate, no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer. Beautiful natural landscape, well preserved forest vegetation, rich in animal and plant resources, 661 kinds of wild plants, more than 140 kinds of animals, 841 kinds of insects, more than 20 ancient and famous trees, forest coverage rate of 84.3%, is the best place to carry out eco-tourism.

Zhaojin red tourism town was officially started in August 2012 and opened in September 2013. The planning area of the core area of the scenic spot is 90 square kilometers, including "Red Town, xuejiazhai and Yangliuping modern agricultural sightseeing area". In May 1993, the Shaanxi provincial Party committee solemnly held the 60th anniversary of the founding of Zhaojin revolutionary base in Zhaojin Town, and decided to build a memorial hall of Zhaojin revolutionary base in Zhaojin town. In the spring of 1993, the museum was temporarily located in Zhaojin cultural station. In 1996, construction began. The exhibition project was completed before July 1, 2002. It was relocated in 2003 and opened in April 2004. In 2012, it was renamed "Zhaojin Memorial Hall of Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base". In order to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base, the memorial hall was expanded on the basis of the original hall in August 2012, completed in August 2013, and reopened in September of the same year.

Zhaojin memorial hall, a revolutionary base in Shaanxi Gansu border area, has a building area of 6500 square meters and two floors. Monument to the heroes of the Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base: the monument to the Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base was built in August 2013 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base.

In August 2012, the monument and the memorial facilities of the entire Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base were planned and constructed in a unified way. It was completed in August 2013. In September, the memorial activities related to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base were held in front of the monument.

Relying on the mountain, the monument stands on the top of the mountain. From the second floor of the memorial hall, 213 steps can reach the foot of the monument. The whole monument is composed of two parts: the monument and the base. The whole monument is made of granite and rises with a simple column structure, implying that Zhaojin is the source and pillar of the northwest revolution. The height from the ground to the top of the monument is 33 meters, symbolizing the establishment of the Shanxi Gansu border Zhaojin revolutionary base in 1933. The monument has a base square of 625 square meters and a base of 144 square meters.

The monument is engraved with 16 characters: "the heroes of the revolutionary base in the border areas of Shaanxi and Gansu are immortal.". The four sides of the base are composed of four groups of relief sculptures, which show the important historical events of the party, government and army building in the Zhaojin revolutionary base in the border area of Shaanxi, Gansu and the fish and water situation between the army and the people.

The "army building" relief shows the scene of the flag awarding ceremony of the red 26th army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army adapted by the Shaanxi Gansu guerrillas in Jiaojiao Town, Yijun County on December 24, 1932.

The relief of "party building" shows the scene of the CPC Shaanxi Gansu border special committee when Zhaojin tuerliang was founded on March 8, 1933.

The "JianZheng" relief shows the scene of the first workers' and peasants' Congress held by the CPC Shaanxi Gansu border special committee in Zhaojin tuerliang on April 5, 1933 to elect the Shaanxi Gansu border Revolutionary Committee. Zhou Dongzhi, a farm laborer, was elected chairman, and Xi Zhongxun, 19, was elected vice chairman.

The relief of "fish and water situation between the army and the people" shows the scenes of the army and the people celebrating the victory, dividing the fields and grain, supporting the army and loving the people, and sending their children to join the army, which reflects the family relationship between the army and the people.

Former site of xuejiazhai Revolution: the former site of xuejiazhai revolution is located 54 kilometers northwest of Yaozhou District (formerly Yaoxian county), at the junction of Yaozhou, Chunhua and Xunyi, with an altitude of more than 1600 meters. The xuejiazhai mountain is dangerous, easy to defend and difficult to attack. It is said that Xue Gang once stationed troops here to practice martial arts in the Tang Dynasty, so it is called xuejiazhai. Xuejiazhai scenic spot has become a tourist attraction integrating Danxia Geopark, Yougu plank road, Red Army ladder, sightseeing cable car and other landscape facilities.

Around 1933, Liu Zhidan, Xie Zichang, Xi Zhongxun and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation built the 26th army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army and the first mountain revolutionary base in Northwest China with xuejiazhai as the center. The Red Army used the natural cave on the top of the mountain to build the headquarters, hospital, repair facility, clothing factory and other cave, making it the political and military center and the center of the Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base The rear base of the Red Army's guerrillas had more than 300 troops at most. From August to October, the Kuomintang troops encircled and suppressed xuejiazhai three times. The first and second encirclement and suppression were bravely repulsed by our Red Army soldiers, which became a famous battle to defend xuejiazhai in history. In the third encirclement and suppression, the Kuomintang troops took advantage of the main force of the Red Army to the north, and the traitors reported that xuejiazhai was captured by the enemy. When several Red Army female guerrillas broke through the encirclement, they would rather die than surrender and jump off the cliff. In the autumn of 1934, the main forces of the Red Army and guerrillas recovered xuejiazhai.

There are four villages in the former site of xuejiazhai revolution. The No.1 village is the base of the first and third detachment of the Shaanxi Gansu border guerrillas. The others are the base of the logistic units and leading organs such as the Red Army Hospital, the clothing factory and the repair facility. Among them, No. 4 village is the special committee of Shaanxi Gansu border region. It is the political center and command center of Zhaojin revolutionary base. It is the heart of red district. Revolutionaries of the older generation, such as Li Miaozhai and Xi Zhongxun, once conducted battles here.

In order to give full play to the role of xuejiazhai red education resources, carry forward the revolutionary tradition and inherit the red gene, Tongchuan City has protected and restored the former site of xuejiazhai revolution, so that party members, cadres and the masses can go back to the Red Army and experience the arduous and extraordinary fighting process of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries. At present, xuejiazhai has been listed as the on-site teaching experience point of China Yan'an Cadre College and Shaanxi Administration College, and has become one of the 100 classic red tourism scenic spots and the national youth education base.
