Introduction to scenic spots

Incheon, where baizhangtan tourist area is located, is an old revolutionary base. As early as April 1928, the underground party organization was established. In December 1929, under the leadership of Lu Zhan, a detachment of the western Zhejiang workers' and peasants' revolutionary army was set up, which organized many revolutionary riots. In October 1935, under the leadership of Wang Ping, the first column of the red army advanced into this area from Jinyun to carry out revolutionary activities.

Baizhangtan waterfall

It is composed of three cascades with a total height of 72 meters. The first waterfall is 10 meters high and 2 meters wide. The waterfall is curtain like and discharges into Baizhang lake and mishai lake. The second waterfall is 15 meters high and 5 meters wide. It falls into zanglongtan in a spouting shape. The third waterfall is 47 meters high and 7 meters wide. The stream flows into the rain pool along the steep cliff. The three waterfalls are connected and stacked to form a unique waterfall body. Baizhangtan waterfall is famous for its precipice, high waterfall, deep pool, clear water and winding stream. The terrain where the waterfall is located is extremely steep. The upper and lower waterfalls are connected. The water in the valley is roaring and foggy. Standing behind the sun, you can see a rainbow in the sky, which seems to enter a fairyland on earth. Longtanbei, where the waterfall is located, is rich in vegetation with Masson Pine and Liquidambar. At this point in summer, I suddenly feel the cool wind; at this point in autumn, the maple leaves are red, just like an oil painting. Not far from the foot of the waterfall is the Dragon King Temple, where visitors can rest. Since ancient times, tourists from Dongyang, Jinyun, Yongkang and other surrounding areas have come here to visit, leaving a lot of scholars and poets' inscriptions and poems.

Baizhangtan

Baizhangtan is the highest one of baizhangtan waterfall's triple pools. The elevation of the pool is 590 meters. The mouth of the pool is smooth and flat. On the other three sides, there are tens of meters of stone walls. There is no grass on the stone walls, and the terrain is very steep. The pool is oval in shape. In the front of Baizhang pool, there is a small pool called mishai pool, which is nearly circular and about 4 meters in diameter. A stream of water from Baizhang pool overflows into mishai pool and forms a vortex in the pool. The water flows out after rapid rotation, which is named after the rice screen for washing rice. Longtan River from more than 10 meters high into the pool, a roaring sound. The vegetation on both sides of the mountain is luxuriant, covering more than 90%, mainly Pinus massoniana, Phyllostachys pubescens and so on, which makes the pool water extremely quiet. There is a local legend about the origin of the name of Baizhang Lake: at first, Baizhang lake was a small lake without a name. There was a white dragon on the nearby Yangtang mountain who broke the commandment and was chased by an eminent monk and fled to the lake. In order to let the white dragon come out, the eminent monk rammed a hundred times in the pool with his Zen stick, but because the pool was too deep, the white dragon still didn't come out. The eminent monk was angry and died on the huge stone beside the pool, forming a round mishai pool at the head. And the pool was named.

Praying for Rain Pool

Qiyu lake is the lowest lake of Baizhang Lake Waterfall, with a triangular surface, about 50 meters long, 30 to 36 meters wide, and an area of about 900 square meters. It is the largest lake in Baizhang Lake tourist area. The third level of Baizhang waterfall falls down from a height of nearly 50 meters, and the stream roars. This pool is eroded by the waterfall over the years.
