Shihua water cave

Shihua water cave is located at the foot of yingdao mountain in the state-owned Bayi general field of Danzhou City, Hainan Province, 30 kilometers away from Danzhou City. It is composed of the Cave Scenic Area, Shilin scenic area and tropical hundred orchards scenic area. The three scenic spots have their own characteristics and complement each other, forming a comprehensive landscape integrating scientific investigation, tourism and popular science education.

Shihua water cave

Shihuashuidong Geopark is located at the foot of yingdao mountain in the state-owned Bayi general field of Danzhou City, Hainan Province, 30 kilometers away from Danzhou City. It is the lowest latitude natural karst cave successfully developed in China, and was formed 1.4 million years ago. The whole scenic area consists of inner scenic area, stone forest scenic area and tropical orchard scenic area. Inside the cave are stalactites, stalagmites, curly stones, single crystal calcite flowers and other scenery of great ornamental and scientific value. The source of the cave

In 1998, when Bayi farm was excavating limestone, a Shihua karst cave was discovered by accident. The next year, after an investigation by cave research experts of the Chinese Geological Society, they believed that this is a very rare Shihua Cave in China and even in the world, which was formed 1.4 million years ago, and immediately proposed to name it "Shihua water cave". The karst cave is composed of dry cave and water cave. The dry cave is about 2000 meters long, and the water cave is about 3000 meters long. The water depth is mostly 5? 7 meters, and the deepest is 17 meters. The stalactites with peculiar shapes and different shapes in the cave either hang on the top of the cave or rise from the ground, which is very beautiful. In particular, the "one stone and two flowers" - curly stone, aragonite flower and calcite crystal flower are all national treasures.

There is also a national treasure called "curly stone" in the shihuashui cave of yingdao mountain. Scenery in the cave

The stone walls of the cave are also covered with a kind of peculiar stone flowers. These stone flowers are like corals, shining under the light. According to expert research, the formation of these stone flowers is different from the stalagmites, carnations and stone waterfalls in the cave. The latter is mainly formed by dripping water, flowing water and stagnant water, while the stone flower is formed by infiltration water, splash water and capillary water. The most amazing thing is that there is a thin wall of stone flowers in the air of the stone flower water cave on yingdao mountain, just like a magpie bridge where Cowherd and Weaver Girl meet.

There is still a very precious national protected animal in the cave: giant salamander.

The Shihua water cave in yingdao mountain is winding, with a width of about 10 meters and a width of two or three meters. Visitors can visit the cave by boat. The total length of Shihua water cave is about 5000 meters, but only a 900 meter long tour route has been opened, including 550 meters for dry cave and 350 meters for water cave. The whole tour is about an hour or so.

There are also three treasures in Shihua Water Cave: aragonite flower, curly stone and calcite.

Curl stone

There is a national treasure called "curly stone" in the cave, which is located at the top of the middle of the cave, with an area of about 1010 square meters. This kind of "curly stone" is a kind of calcite crystal with white jade color, rod-shaped, curly or bean sprout shape. The color is soft, and the length of monomer can reach 44-66cm. This kind of "curl stone" is not formed by water droplets, and its origin is still a mystery. It has only been found in the United States, Romania, China and a few other countries. This kind of stone body has been found in a Shihua Cave in Heilongjiang Province before, but the "curly stone" found in yingdaoshan Shihua Cave in Danzhou, Hainan Province is second to none in terms of area and shape, which can be called a miracle in the world.

Aragonite

On the top of the stone flower, there are hairy, hair like gags, which also form a wonder of flowers in flowers. Aragonite flowers are mainly distributed in the upper tunnel of the stone flower water cave. The leaves are hairy, tiny, and numerous. Some of them are in the shape of arrowheads and silks, and the whole is like flowers blooming. Aragonite sometimes coexists with grapevine. Aragonite is a kind of chemical precipitation form with high ornamental value, which is a rare deposit in caves. There is only one place where aragonite flowers grow in the whole cave, and no other places have grown. It is also a unique product in China and a unique product in the world. Calcite crystal flower

This is a rare wonder in the world. It is a unique calcite crystal flower in China. The formation of calcite crystal flower is mainly due to the recrystallization of limestone under the action of pressure and heat. The original calcium carbonate component crystallizes into calcite particles and forms marble. Pure marble is white. The mineral composition of marble is calcite which is easy to dissolve.
