Dongyu Island

Dongyu island tourist resort is located in Dongyu Island, Boao Town, Qionghai City, Hainan Province. It is the core area of Boao tourism. The resort is surrounded by water on all sides. The plants on the island are luxuriant, just like a paradise in the world. It was once praised by UNESCO as one of the most perfect places to preserve the natural landscape at the estuary of rivers in the world. Dongyu Island

Dongyu Island, located in Boao Town, Qionghai City, is a small island at the estuary of three rivers (Wanquan River, Longgun River and Jiuqu River), covering an area of about 1.78 million square meters. It was once praised by UNESCO as one of the most perfect places to preserve the natural landscape at the estuary of rivers in the world. Legend

It is said that a long time ago, XiaoLongNu, the daughter of aoqin, the Dragon King of the South China Sea, and Qilin gave birth to a son named Ao. Ao looks strange: dragon head, turtle back, unicorn tail. When the dragon king saw that his daughter was born with this monster, he flew into a rage. He took out the jade belt from his waist and threw it into the water to form a jade belt beach, which blocked the way for Ao's mother and son to return to the sea. Little dragon girl begged bitterly, but three autumn failed. Her heart was haggard and finally turned into longtanling. When Ao saw his mother, she was very fierce, causing trouble and harming the people. After hearing the news, Guanyin came and fought with AO for 72 times. Finally, he accepted AO and took the lotus throne and rode away.

Aolong was enlightened by Guanyin, and his real body left behind after he left turned into Dongyu island.

Development history

Dongyu island used to be a little-known fishing village. Its natural ecological environment is well preserved. There are 196 households in the village with a resident population of about 1000. They are fishing, farming, but also the development of offshore aquaculture, the island is very rich in products. The tide is about 5-6cm higher than Sanya, and the water quality is better, which is extremely suitable for the development of aquaculture.

On the island, the surname Lu is a big one, and there are three other surnames, Zhang, Mo and Li. The same surname is not intermarried in the island, and it's all by ferry to get in and out of the island. There is little contact with the outside world. It's far away to marry to Peilan, Boao and Chaoyang.

In September 1998, former Australian Prime Minister Hawke, former Japanese Prime Minister Hoshikawa and former Philippine President Ramos proposed the establishment of an "Asian Forum" similar to the "World Economic Forum" in Davos.

In May 2002, according to the instruction of Premier Zhu Rongji, it was decided to build the permanent site of Boao Forum for Asia on Dongyu island. The development and construction of Dongyu Island were completed successively, and the facilities of Boao Forum for Asia International Conference Center, Boao Forum for Asia Hotel, Dongyu Hotel, news center, Boao Forum for Asia International Conference Center and golf club were built.

Now Dongyu island has become a complex of tourism, vacation and conference, attracting millions of visitors to visit and relax here every year.

Main attractions

Yudai Beach

Yudai beach is a naturally formed beach peninsula with long and narrow terrain. On the outside, the South China Sea is vast and boundless, and on the inside, Wanquan River and Shami inland sea are beautiful and beautiful, forming a strange landscape. With a total length of 8.5 km, Yudai beach is unique in Asia because its topography is similar to the gold coast of Australia, the gold coast of Australia and Cancun of Mexico.

In June 1999, the northern part of Yudai beach was recognized as "the narrowest beach Peninsula separating the sea and river" by Guinness international headquarters in China. Therefore, the northern part of Yudai beach will fully maintain its original state and serve as the "Guinness top" tourist attraction for tourists.

The white jade belt beach is like a long jade belt lying between the Wanquan River and the South China Sea, separating the Wanquan River from the South China Sea. It has a total length of 2.5 km in the north-south direction; the widest part is about 300 meters in the east-west direction, and the narrowest part is only more than 10 meters at high tide. It is the narrowest beach Peninsula separating sea and river in the world.

Standing on Yudai beach, facing the sea, you can see the boundless South China Sea, with layers of white waves rushing to your feet. Looking far away, the color of the sea water is divided into three layers - slightly yellow, light blue and dark blue to the horizon. Fishing boats are dotted in the distance, and seagulls rise and fall nearby. This is a wonderful South China Sea painting.

Not far in front of Yudai beach, there is a reef composed of many black boulders standing in the waves of the South China Sea. It looks like an egg, and it is abrupt and steep. That is "Shenggong stone". It's said that it was a few gravels that Nuwa accidentally dropped when she mended the sky. This stone has a spirit, so we chose this geomantic treasure land to settle here. For thousands of years, regardless of the wind and waves, it has been standing still and facing Yudai beach.

Turning around, you can see the confluence of Wanquan River, Jiuqu River and longgunhe river. Yuanyang Island, Dongyu island and Shapo island are facing each other. The water is full of silver waves, the island is covered with green umbrellas, the fishing songs rise and fall, and the tourists are weaving.

Standing on Yudai beach, one sea and one river, one salty and one light, one move and one quiet, I feel like I am in a fairyland.

Longjing (qiyuntai)

Boao is magical. It is converged in one cave. This is the mysterious Longjing cave, also called qiyuntai. Here you can experience the miraculous echo of nature, and your blessing will be passed to the sky to protect and bless the devout people. At the entrance of Longjing cave are two stone sculptures of dragon head and fish tail, which are very peculiar in shape, implying the dragon's gate. The legend of fish leaping over the dragon's gate is written in the story of the three Qin Dynasties. In the past, in the era of imperial examination, the person who was named as the "golden list" was called "leaping to the dragon's gate", that is to say, "once you get to the dragon's gate, you will be worth ten times.". The two statues set at the exit of Longjing cave are the cloud dragon shape of the Yellow River carp leaping over the dragon's gate and incarnating as the dragon's head and dragon's tail. The pillars on the four sides of Longjing point respectively signify the Eastern Green Dragon, the western white tiger, the southern rosefinch and the northern Xuanwu, which are the four spirit beasts in Chinese legend. One represents the orientation, and the other increases the aura of Longjing point. Therefore, in the past, the great master of Guanyin set up a pool of yin and Yang on it, which followed the position of the five elements and contained it. Standing on the acupoints, people can hold their heads high and sound loud. It can be called a wonder that the sound of heaven hovers around the top of the cave, and the sound will not disappear for a long time. It can also be blessed by the sun and moon of heaven and earth. According to the "structural relationship and movement form" of the five elements theory, we walk up to the praying platform from the entrance of Longmen in the West. After standing, men turn three circles from the left and women turn three circles from the right. Then we step into the central point, pray quietly and make sincere wishes. Then we go straight to the direction of "Yunlong dragon head". All the sages who come to the platform to pray for blessings, fortune, longevity, happiness and wealth are effective.
