Hailing village is an old revolutionary village. It is rated as one of the most beautiful villages in Zhanjiang for its unique beauty and cultural precipitation.

Heling Village

Hailing village, located in Wuyang Town, Wuchuan City, Guangdong Province, is adjacent to Nanhai in the East and Jianjiang in the West. Hailing village covers a total area of more than 700 mu, with 218 households and a population of more than 1300. In recent years, tens of millions of funds have been invested in the construction, and a number of high standard projects have been built, such as Village Road, tap water, gate building, cultural corridor, public toilet, collective pig house, underground sewage, cultural center, small park, commercial street, Shili lotus pond, new rural exhibition hall and ecological park. Village profile

Hailing village is located in the Jianjiang plain of Wuchuan City and Wuyang town. The land is comfortable and the fish and rice are prosperous.

The road leading to clam ridge is straight and colorful. Approaching clam ridge village, the tall and imposing archway is the most eye-catching, with red glazed tile as the top and granite building as the body. The most eye-catching is a pair of gilded couplets, shining in the sun. There are three characters carved in the middle of it: Hailing village. On the left and right are: "the green water is full of auspicious clams; the ten mile lotus pond is full of auspicious clams; the Xiangling mountains are full of smiles and celebrations". On the back is another couplet: "Menze is near the river, the auspicious atmosphere is full of splendor; the tower looks at the sea, and the grand plan is unfolded with pride". These two couplets are the image of Heling village.

On the side of the archway is the ten mile lotus pond with rippling blue waves. The lotus pond surrounds the whole village. There are curved bridges, pavilions and flying eaves pavilions in the lotus pond. The lotus Pavilion in the inner curved bridge of the lotus pond is Yuli. The curved bridge connects the two sides with water. The lotus pond is surrounded by willows and covered with green bamboos, forming a poetic picture of "willow with lotus pond". "Lotus Dang li Liu Xing", this is the artistic conception of literati poets since ancient times.

There are green trees in the village. All the roadways in the village are hard bottomed and clean. Every household is bright and clean, and people are laughing. Origin of village name

During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Chen Yuanbin, dianxitang village, Yangmei Town, Huazhou, came to Wuchuan to make a living. He passed by this place because of its long water source, surrounded by lotus ponds and a ridge shaped like a clam (frog, Wuchuan Dialect: clam), so he settled here and named it clam ridge. Hence the name of clam ridge village.

New rural demonstration base

Hailing new rural demonstration base is the first natural village ecological park in China, which has become a model project of new rural construction. It is an ecological Grand View Garden covering an area of 20000 square meters, in which there are more than 500 kinds of ecological animals and plants, with luxuriant and fragrant exotic flowers. Hailing memorial archway

Clam ridge memorial archway is the symbol of clam ridge village, which has three characters "clam ridge village" on it. It is the only way to enter clam ridge village and belongs to one of the scenic spots.

Qingtian water tower

The tall and straight water tower is the backbone and will of the clamling people. Rich and eager to make progress, drinking water is the embodiment of the simplicity of Heling people. The water tower is not only a petrel reservoir for daily life in the village, but also a historical record of the past.

Zhenwu Temple

Zhenwu Temple embodies the people's high hopes of praying for good weather and peace of the country. With its unique style of Lingnan ancient architecture and the exquisite crafts of smelting, casting, lacquer, foil and carving, it reflects the local superb technological level of Wuchuan, and integrates Wuchuan's economy, culture, religion and folk art. It is a typical representative of the local customs of Huling.

Ten mile lotus pond

1. Environment

When you enter Heling village, you feel like you have entered a paradise. The ten mile lotus pond, Jiuqu bridge, Hexin Pavilion and Yiyi weeping willow in front of the village are eye-catching. Shilihetang is located at the entrance of Heling village, with a total area of 222242.9 square meters.

June and July is a good time for lotus to bloom. Standing in the distance, the lotus leaves are green, just like many big green discs floating in the water, crowded, setting off many beautiful lotus (Lotus colorful, really beautiful!). In early spring, the lotus flowers are all scattered and desolate. In June and July, most of them are open. From a distance, they are as red as fire and white as snow.

During the Anti Japanese War, Japanese invaders once went to Heling village and captured them. Villagers (especially women) took advantage of the lotus pond and hid under the lotus leaves to avoid a disaster. Nowadays, it is a highlight of Heling Village: "ten li lotus pond, ten li fragrance". Another function of Shili lotus pond is that it can regulate the change of temperature and play the role of cooling.

Some already open Lotus, seven or eight petals are open, at this time the color is particularly deep, revealing the yellow stamens, there are many black dots inside. They stand upright in the lake, and there are several big green lotus leaves around it to set off its beauty. When a gust of wind blows, they twist to the viewer and nod.

We can observe the blooming of lotus from a closer lens. You see the two zigzag bridges lying in the ten mile lotus pond. As long as you stand on the bridge, you will smell the fragrance of lotus. Approaching the lotus pond, those lotus have deep red, purple, pink, one more beautiful. Among these colorful lotus flowers, some buds are not fully open, the bud is light red, the middle is light red, and the bottom is white. They hugged each other tightly, dressed in a "green coat", and shyly hid half of their bodies under the water, with a large lotus leaf half covered beside them, which was really like a shy child. These lotus flowers are so popular that many tourists and photographers who stay on the river bank will take out their cameras to take pictures of this beautiful moment as a memento. When walking on the road, you will find a lot of lotus seed shells along the Liuan. These lotus seed shells are the fruits of the lotus pods picked by children.

3. Medicinal value of lotus

In fact, lotus also has its medicinal value. It is recorded in compendium of Materia Medica that lotus, lotus seed, lotus coat, Lotus House, lotus beard, lotus seed heart, lotus leaf, lotus stem and lotus node can be used as medicine. Lotus can promote blood circulation and stop bleeding, remove dampness and wind, clear heart and cool blood, and detoxify. Lotus seed can nourish heart, kidney, spleen, astringent intestine. Lotus whiskers can clear the heart, benefit the kidney, astringent essence, stop bleeding, relieve summer heat, remove trouble, generate fluid and quench thirst. Clam ridge in the past

In the past, clam ridge was poor and desolate. It was a poor and backward fishing village.
