Alishan, a tourist attraction in Taiwan, consists of 18 high mountains, which are the branches of Yushan mountains. Now the new Zhongheng highway has linked Alishan with Yushan scenic spot. Sunrise, sea of clouds, sunset, forest and high mountain railway are collectively called the five wonders of Alishan, and the cultural resources of Zou aborigines add a lot of wonders to Alishan. Alishan National Scenic area covers Alishan Forest Recreation Area, Ruili, Fengshan, Taihe and other Han villages, as well as Zou tribes such as Dabang, Shanmei and Chashan. Alishan National Scenic area covers a large area, and the most well-known is Alishan Forest Recreation Area.

Brief introduction of scenic spots

Alishan National scenic spot is located in the east of Chiayi County, Taiwan. It is a national scenic spot planned and managed by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of communications. It was established in 2001. It covers the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, which is still managed by the forestry bureau and located in Alishan Township, and extends to the famous scenic spots in Meishan Township, Zhuqi Township and Fanlu Township nearby.

In fact, Alishan is not the name of a mountain, but the general name of a specific area. The correct term should be "Alishan". Geographically, it is a part of the main range of Alishan mountains, adjacent to Yushan mountains in the East and Xueshan mountains in the north.

From 1937 to the period of Japanese occupation, shingaoshan (the old name of Yushan) and Alishan were designated as Japanese national parks.

1982 - Yushan is designated as Taiwan's National Park.

2001 - Alishan was designated as Taiwan's national scenic spot.

The location and time of the famous Alishan sunrise are different in the four seasons (due to the revolution of the earth). The best viewing point is the Zhushan viewing tower. You can take the Zhushan viewing train (about 25 minutes' drive) from Alishan railway station or Maoping station, or pick up the steps from the memorial archway of the viewing road in Maoping Park (about 40 minutes' walk, with signs along the road). Forest (Alishan Forest Recreation Area)

Alishan, a tourist attraction in Taiwan, is rich in forest resources, among which juniper is the most precious. Affected by altitude, the distribution of plants in Alishan is tropical, warm, temperate and frigid.

After the discovery of Alishan Forest in 1899, the Japanese built this primeval forest as an important forest farm. After the restoration of Taiwan, in order to conserve the forest, they banned logging and developed it into a forest recreation area.

From the middle of March to the middle of April every year, the blooming season of Alishan, including Sakura yamasaka, Sakura Yosano and Sakura bicolor, decorates the whole mountain into a beautiful and colorful sea of flowers. Walking along the tree lined Avenue with towering ancient trees, you can not only absorb the essence of forest fenduojing, but also listen to the beautiful songs of thrush, warbler, tit and thrush (Alishan is one of the top ten best bird watching places in Taiwan, belonging to the middle altitude bird area). Alpine Railway

Alishan Forest Railway is one of the most famous mountaineering railways in the world. All the way from Jiayi, which is 30 meters above sea level, to Mt. Ali, which is 2216 meters high, passes 49 tunnels and 77 bridges. Along the way, you can enjoy the changes of plant species in different forest zones, such as heat, warmth and temperature, as well as the beautiful mountains and valleys.

When the train is propelled to the independent hill, in order to accommodate the steep shape of the hill, it has to spiral around the independent hill for three times (about five kilometers long and 200 meters high) to reach the top of the hill. When turning up the mountain, you can see the left and right zhangnaoliao station still at the foot of the mountain three times on the train, and then the railway leaves the independent mountain in an 8-shaped way. From pingzhena station to the first lane, the railway zigzags along. After three lanes, the train sometimes drags forward, sometimes pushes backward, and finally arrives at Alishan, so it is called "Alishan train hit a wall".

In 1986, the Zhushan branch line was opened to traffic by the Taiwanese themselves. Starting from Alishan new station, it meanders between the high mountains at an altitude of 2216-2451 meters, and then turns to Gaoyue through the crossroads to Zhushan. This is the first high mountain railway built by the Taiwanese themselves, which is dedicated to the viewing of the sun in Zhushan.

Baimulin is a wonder of Shihou recreation area, and the pavilions such as leaf Pavilion, Wangxiang Pavilion and Qixia pavilion are good places to listen to the pines or overlook the scenery of Caoling. In addition, the "Taiwan yiyelan exhibition area" shows the ecological history of Taiwan's rare wild orchids. Yiyelan grows in Alishan Mountain and blooms from February to April every year. It is named after the fact that only one leaf grows under the flower.

One day a long time ago, there was a mountain leader named abari who came to a mountain he had never been to in order to chase a white deer. Just as he was anxious to give up, suddenly the white deer disappeared, but before his eyes there was a big mountain forest shrouded in clouds, flowers and birds. He was attracted by the charming scenery. The rich products here fascinated him even more. He thought that the ethnic people had a good place to live. So he called the tribe to open up a new hunting ground. However, when they reveled in the harvest brought by the new hunting ground, they angered the two dragons here. The ability of the dragon is great. As soon as they snore, the wind blows, and all the animals and birds are scared away. As soon as the Dragon blows, the fog is so vast that people can't distinguish the southeast from the northwest. This has brought disaster to the people of Gaoshan Nationality who hope to live a stable life. Abari saw it in his eyes and was anxious in his heart. He was determined to fight against the dragon. So he led a group of young people in the tribe to dance swords and practice arrows in the mountains every day, and developed a good martial arts.

One night, a group of young men who swore to fight against the Dragon came to the top of the mountain under the leadership of abari, waiting for the arrival of the dragon. The next morning, the star just rose from the East, only to hear the whistling sound in the sky. In a flash, two dragons came roaring in front of each other. Abari saw that the dragon was only a hundred steps away from them. Suddenly, he pulled the bow string and saw a golden light flying straight to the dragon in front of him. Then, a sharp arrow of the boys also shot to the dragon. The injured dragon turned around and ran away. Before the back dragon could react, its long and big tail was caught by the dense trees. At this moment, abari pulled out his waist knife like lightning and rushed forward with an arrow step. With a click, the dragon's tail was cut off. The two dragons never dare to do evil in the mountains again. In order to show their respect for their brave leader, the Gaoshan people named this mountain Alishan.

There is another legend: Once upon a time, there were no flowers, trees, birds and animals on Mt. Ali, so it was called Tushan. In the bald mountain lived a young hunter named Ali. One day, he went hunting on the north mountain and rescued two girls and a peacock from the tiger. The two girls are fairies in the heavenly palace. They come here with peacocks to see the scenery. Unexpectedly, they meet tigers. Thanks to Ali, they are saved. But he escaped the tiger, but he couldn't hide it from the emperor. Because they went down to the earth without permission, the five emperors sent the old longevity people down to the earth to arrest them and return them to the heavenly palace for questioning. In order to save the two girls, Ali did not hesitate to offend the powerful Jade Emperor. He took off the dragon's crutch and drove him away.

The Jade Emperor was really angry, and ordered the thunder god to burn the creatures in the area of the bald mountain with thunder fire. The two fairies advised Ali to escape quickly, but Ali went up to the top of the mountain despite the obstruction of the two fairies. At this time, Raytheon just came over the bald mountain. Ali called to the God of thunder: "God of thunder, I beat the old birthday girl away. I let go of the two fairies. I'm the one who caused the trouble. It has nothing to do with others! Your thunder fire will burn on me The Thunder God was enraged. Without saying a word, he held up the thunder drill and lightning, and put an earth shaking deep mine at Ali. Ali was beaten to pieces, and the mountains around him were also ablaze, because the mountain was bare, and the thunder man died before he reached the middle of the mountain.
