Xiaohuanglou, No. 36, Huangxiang, covers an area of more than 1000 square meters. Huang Pu, a poet and Jinshi in the second year of Dashun, Zhaozong of Tang Dynasty, settled here after retiring. It used to be the landmark of Huangxiang and was destroyed in a fire in the early Qing Dynasty. Now visitors can see the xiaohuanglou building, which was repaired by Liang Zhangju during the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. The buildings of xiaohuanglou are distributed compactly. There are typical pavilions, platforms, buildings and pavilions in the garden. Its rockery, fish pond, flowers and trees, pavilions are small and exquisite, after thousands of years can still see the legacy of the Tang Dynasty.
Xiaohuanglou
The landmark of Huangxiang is "xiaohuanglou". It is said that the old house where Huang Pu studied when he was young was near xiaohuanglou. Liang Zhangju, senior brother Lin Zexu and governor of Jiangsu Province, made a comprehensive renovation of Huangpu's old house during the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, and built a small yellow building of xihuating and a small garden building "East Garden" on the east side of the old house. The flower hall is a double-layer Pavilion, 9 meters wide and 24 meters deep, with three rooms wide, five columns deep, wooden frame with bucket, double slope top, pink wall, black tile, ridge cornice, dragon and Phoenix depicted on the beam frame, and Phoebe used in the yingmen and windows. Moreover, it has exquisite workmanship and exquisite carving.
brief introduction
Xiaohuanglou, located at No. 36, north of the middle section of Huangxiang lane, was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006. It is now a museum of couplets related to Taiwan in China. There are more than 100 couplets and plaques of Liu Yong, the Jinshi of the 16th year of Qianlong, Xu Shichang, the president of the Republic of China, and Feng Guozhang, the leader of the Northern Warlords.
According to historical records, during the rebellion of Yongjia in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Huang's family came to Fujian and lived in this lane, hence its name. Huang Pu, a scholar of Tang Jinshi and Chongwen Pavilion, lived here and built the pavilion called Huanglou. Lin Zhichun lived there from the Yongzheng period to the early Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. From the late Qianlong period to the Jiaqing period, he returned to Liang Shangzhi and Liang shangguo brothers and later passed on to Liang Zhangju. Later, his daughter Liang Huanzi and son-in-law Zhao xinju lived there.
Mango King
There is an ancient mango tree in front of the East Flower falling Hall of "xiaohuanglou" in Huangxiang. It is said to be planted by Huang Pu. It can be called the oldest tree in the legend of three lanes and seven alleys. It is also one of the two largest mango trees known in Fuzhou City. It is 1.3 meters in diameter at breast height, 17 meters in height and 21 meters in crown width. It is also known as mengguo, anpoluo, etc. it is a big evergreen tree and one of the famous tropical fruits 1、 The leaves are leathery, oblong, the panicles are green, the flowers are small and light yellow, the fruit is big and skew oval, the mature fruit is yellow, the flesh is delicate, the flavor is unique, the marketing is rich, and it has medicinal effect.
Flower hall Garden
The flower hall is a double-layer pavilion with three rooms in width, five columns in depth and a wooden frame with a bucket. The beams are painted with dragons and phoenixes, and the doors and windows are made of Phoebe. The work is exquisite and the carving is exquisite. On both sides of the corridor upstairs, the terrace is facing out, and the rockery is connected. On both sides of the building against the wall is a snow cave made of glutinous rice and clay, which is still well protected. The patio in front of the building is opposite the rockery formed by Taihu Lake. It is a small fish pond. It is crossed by a small arched stone bridge. The word "know where fish are happy" is engraved on the bridge railing. The water is clear and the fish swim. On the east side of the pavilion, there is a half side pavilion with squirrel, swallow Finch, dragonfly, ear of corn, corn, etc. carved on the vertical column. There are 12 hanging bells around the pavilion, each with its own style. In the courtyard, there are several rows of bamboo, flowers and trees supporting the Soviet Union. The environment is quiet and elegant, which has the characteristics of Jiangnan garden. The whole garden is surrounded by walls and has its own courtyard. There is a precious ancient mango in the garden.
The rockery on the south side of the building is built with natural Taihu Lake stones. It is built with pools and platforms, flowing water and winding paths. The fish pond beside the rockery is decorated with an exquisitely made stone arch bridge. On the bridge fence is engraved with the word "know where fish are happy", which embodies the traditional sentiment of Chinese literati.
In the rockery on the other side of the bridge, there are zigzag caves, deep valleys, twists and turns along the stone steps, and you can climb the top of the rockery. On the east side, there is a half side pavilion of wood structure, suspended on three sides and leaning against the wall on one side. The top of the pavilion is made of pearls, and the four eaves are tilted. The bucket arch bridge and the vertical column in the pavilion are engraved with animals and plants such as squirrels, finches, dragonflies, ears of corn, and so on. There are 12 small hanging bells around the pavilion . The pavilion is not big, but it occupies the best position of the yellow building. The owner of the garden sits on the balcony and has a good view of the whole yellow building. The town is elegant, quiet and full of fun. Xiaohuanglou has a compact distribution, with pavilions and pavilions in the garden, which has a distinctive architectural style of Fuzhou. The small bridges and flowing water in the garden, quiet and elegant, can reflect the characteristics of Jiangnan garden, which is the most beautiful and exquisite ancient style flower hall garden in Fuzhou. In 2006, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Couplet Exhibition
More than 90 famous plaques and more than 60 couplets from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China were hung in the halls, rooms and courtyards of xiaohuanglou. According to reports, these exhibits are all from the collection of Hong Mingzhang, a Taiwan compatriot. He spent ten years traveling all over Fujian and collected more than 800 plaques, covering the Ming, Qing and Republic of China periods. This exhibit is just the tip of his collection.
Among these dazzling plaques are the imperial edicts issued by the emperors Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu and Xuantong, the inscription of Empress Dowager Cixi, the inscription of more than 30 famous officials of the Qing Dynasty, such as Liu Yong (Liu Luoguo), Ji Xiaolan, Ding Baozhen, Zhang Zhidong and Yao Qisheng, and the inscription of Fuzhou celebrities, such as Lin Zexu and Shen Baozhen More than 30 Taiwan related plaques were inscribed by Yuan Shikai, Li Yuanhong, Feng Guozhang, Xu Shichang and Chiang Kai Shek, and by SA Zhenbing, Li Houji, Chen Jiongming and Xu Shiying.
