Riqing building
Riqing building, also known as maritime building, is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Riqing building (Bund) is one of the Bund buildings in Shanghai. It is located at NO.5 Bund, Shanghai. It was jointly built by the famous Japanese shipping enterprise Nissin steamship Co., Ltd. and a Jewish businessman from 1921 to 1925. The building is six stories high, covering an area of 1280 square meters and a building area of 5484 square meters. The designer is a famous British and German firm. The facade of the building is of obvious three section type, and there is not much decoration on the whole, but the overhanging eaves and relief are designed between the 5th and 6th floors, so there is a certain concave convex feeling. The building was once used by the maritime transport bureau. Later, Huaxia Bank Shanghai Branch settled in the building. Now it has moved out. In 2006, the Riqing building was transformed into a high-grade restaurant.

In 1921, Riqing foreign company built a new building at No. 5, zhongshangdong 1st road;

Architectural features
The building is six stories high, covering an area of 1280 square meters and a construction area of 5484 square meters. Its appearance is "Japanese modern western style". The rooms on each floor were high and open. There were two elevators, and another wooden elevator went straight to the sixth floor to the flat top.
The decoration of the bottom three layers is simple, while the decoration of the top three layers is exquisite. There are classical columns and window frames with relief patterns, which have a strong concave convex feeling. The whole facade of the building is made of granite, and the rooms on each floor are high and open, reflecting other buildings on the Bund.
