Hualin Temple
Emperor Shunzhi bestowed the title of "Hualin Chan Temple"; his disciple, Chan Master Yuanjue, left the magic sea. After ten years of construction, a large-scale ten square jungle sprang up in Xiguan. Its scope is probably from today's Xinghua street in the north, Xiajiu road in the south, Xisheng street in the East and yuguifang in the West.
Hualin temple covers an area of more than 30000 square meters. Since then, monks have gathered in the temple, and foreign scholars have come in an endless stream from all over the country. Pilgrims from all over the world have poured in, and the incense is very strong.
Historical evolution
At the beginning of Shunzhi, the 32nd master of linjizong, Gu jingzongfu, traveled from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province to Guangzhou to visit Xilai nunnery. When he visited Xilai nunnery, he tried his best to retain the nunnery leader, Da CI Su Duan (1602-1664), and asked him to shoulder the heavy responsibility of Guangzu court. In addition, Cheng Keze, Wang Nianchu, Liang Peilan, Chen Gongyin and other local famous gentry and gentry submitted their petitions, He promised to take charge of the reconstruction work and mobilize believers at home and abroad to donate money to transform the ancient nunnery into a Zen temple.

In the 17th year of Shunzhi (1660), Emperor Shunzhi bestowed another 22 Buddhist relics to Hualin temple. Forty years later, Emperor Kangxi ordered Hualin temple to build a special hall and pagoda for the worship of 22 Buddhist relics. In the seventh lunar month of the 40th year of Kangxi (1701), Hualin Temple held a grand ceremony for the worship of the hall and the Buddhist relics.
