Kaili college is a full-time public local undergraduate college. It is one of the first batch of "national language standardization demonstration schools" and "the first batch of energy-saving public organization demonstration units" in China. 1、 Geographical environment. The school is located in Kaili City, the capital of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, which is known as "the state of forest, the state of singing and dancing, and the town of hundred Festivals". Kaili city is one of the main central cities in Guizhou Province, with convenient transportation. It is the "national green model city", "national health city" and "national top ten ecological civilization city". It is the only 35 interconnected cities in Southwest China and a "smart city".

2、 General situation. Kaili college originated from Qiandongnan university which was founded in 1958. Its name changed several times. In 2006, it was upgraded to undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of education. The campus covers an area of 1670 mu, with a building area of 350000 square meters. With reasonable layout and distinctive features, it is the most modern campus with strong national characteristics in Guizhou local universities. The school has 915 staff, including 102 with senior professional title, 328 with deputy senior professional title, 85 with doctor's degree and 58 with doctor's degree. There are more than 11000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 100 foreign students. The university has 15 Teaching branches, 46 undergraduate majors, students from 11 provinces (cities, autonomous regions), a national comprehensive reform pilot specialty (Tourism), 8 provincial key disciplines (material physics and chemistry, anthropology, tourism management, biology, plant science, horticulture, design, Musicology), etc. At present, the library has 1.04 million books, 1.96 million kinds of e-books, and more than 90 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment.

3、 Personnel training. Since its establishment, the school has provided nearly 30000 qualified graduates for the society and a large number of applied talents for the development of local society. At present, most graduates have become the backbone of basic education in Southeast Guizhou. Since the promotion, the university has graduated seven undergraduate students, with more than 10000 graduates. The graduation rate of students is more than 99.04%. The employment situation of graduates is good, and the employment rate of undergraduate graduates is more than 96% for four consecutive years. It has cultivated a group of outstanding students represented by Hu Dandan and Yang Ming, the top ten figures of "moving campus" in Guizhou Province, and a group of outstanding graduates represented by Liu Xicong, who has won the title of "paying special attention to rural teachers" in China. 4、 Scientific research. Since the promotion, the university has established the concept of "strengthening the university through scientific research" and achieved remarkable results in scientific research. It has established a number of scientific research platforms and centers, such as Guizhou original ecological ethnic culture research center, provincial Collaborative Innovation Center, Miao and Dong cultural inheritance and development 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center, Qiandongnan Development Research Institute, and provincial university science park, and set up a provincial academician and expert workstation. The teaching and scientific research personnel have obtained 811 longitudinal scientific research projects, including 40 projects funded by national self science fund and social science fund, 261 provincial and ministerial level projects, 54 provincial and ministerial level scientific research achievement awards, 100 prefecture level scientific research achievement awards, and 33 national authorized patents. In 2011, Kaili University, Guizhou University and Sun Yat sen University simultaneously won the National Social Science Fund's major bidding project "Qingshuijiang document sorting and research", which made a major breakthrough in scientific research.

5、 Serve the society. The school is based on the local, promotes collaborative innovation, improves the ability of innovation and entrepreneurship and social services, deeply integrates into the local economic construction and social development, and carries out all-round social services. In recent years, the university has established "Key Laboratory for research and utilization of biological resources with characteristics of Southeast Guizhou" and other scientific research platforms; the key discipline research team of "material physics and chemistry" has won four national patents, and has achieved economic benefits for local enterprises; the sour soup research team is closely related to the needs of local economic and industrial development. In particular, outstanding achievements have been made in the inheritance and innovation of national culture, and school running characteristics have been highlighted. The school takes inheriting and promoting national culture as its own responsibility, establishes Guizhou Miao and Dong culture inheritance and development Collaborative Innovation Center, establishes original ecological national culture academic journal, and regularly holds "original ecological national culture Summit Forum". The Journal of original ecological ethnic culture has become an influential academic journal of Ethnology and anthropology. It was shortlisted in the expanded edition of national Chinese core journal in 2015 and the expanded edition of C Journal of Nanjing University in 2016. It was included in the intangible cultural heritage protection and development plan of Guizhou Province (2014-2020) together with the "original ecological ethnic culture Summit Forum" initiated by the University in 2010. 7、 Open education.
