Yantai golden vocational college is a full-time general college approved by Shandong Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education in January 2016. The college has a tentative scale of 6000 students and will recruit students in autumn 2016.

The college is located in the Binhai New Area of Zhaoyuan City, Yantai, the "golden capital of China". It is adjacent to Bohai Sea in the north, near the coast, Penglai Longkou port, Yantai port and Longkou port. Founded in 1974, Shandong Zhaojin Group Co., Ltd. is a public enterprise of Zhaoyuan City, covering six sectors of "gold mining, non gold industry, gold trading and deep processing, high-tech industry, real estate and finance". The college took three years to complete. The overall planning land of the campus is 1700 mu. The first phase of the project covers an area of 585.3 mu, and the campus building area is 108000 m2. The administrative complex building, main teaching building, auxiliary teaching building, experimental building, student dormitory, canteen and 400 meter standard track stadium have been completed, with a total investment of 630 million yuan.
