The school of economics and management of Hebei University of economics and trade is a full-time regular college of undergraduate level, which is organized by Hebei University of economics and trade and operates in accordance with the new mechanism and mode. The college was established in July 2001 with the approval of Hebei provincial government (JJF [2001] No. 81 document) and reported to the Ministry of education for the record. At that time, the college was named "College of Finance and communications of Hebei University of economics and trade". In May 2003, according to the JJF [2003] No.57 document issued by Hebei Provincial Department of education, the College of Finance and communications of Hebei University of economics and trade was renamed the College of economics and management of Hebei University of economics and trade. The following year, according to JJF [2004] No. 107 document, our college became one of the first independent colleges confirmed by the Ministry of education.

Our college is located in southwest Higher Education District of Shijiazhuang City, with superior geographical location, convenient transportation, good humanistic environment and teaching atmosphere, which is an ideal place for college students to study. At present, the college has a building area of about 230000 square meters, total fixed assets of about 168.7038 million yuan (including 39.6577 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment assets), 2 libraries, more than 822800 books, 594 seats in digital speech laboratory, 7723 seats in multimedia classroom, 18 high configuration computer rooms and multi-functional academic lecture hall, the same as the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchange All kinds of professional laboratories, such as the simulated securities market and ERP Experimental Center, provide first-class teaching facilities for students. Our college has six teaching departments, including economics department, management department, information department, culture and law department, accounting department and business department, and has 33 undergraduate majors, involving six university disciplines, namely economics, management, law, literature, engineering and science. The college mainly enrolls students from Hebei, and also enrolls students from Tianjin, Jilin, Jiangxi and other provinces (cities). After more than ten years of development, the number of students in the college has increased from 799 at the beginning of its establishment to more than 13000 at present.
