Rongzhi College of Chongqing Industrial and Commercial University was established in 2001 and enrolled students in that year. In 2003, it was established as an independent college with the approval of the Ministry of education. The school is located in Shangwen Avenue at the foot of Yunzhuan mountain, Longzhou Bay, Banan District, the main city of Chongqing, adjacent to Jiantan River, with elegant environment and convenient transportation. Public transportation can reach any transportation hub in the main city of Chongqing.

The university is a full-time undergraduate college with distinctive financial and economic characteristics, with economics and management disciplines as the main subjects, engineering and literature disciplines moderately developed. The school has 28 undergraduate majors, with nearly 10000 full-time undergraduate students and 552 teaching staff, including 442 full-time teachers, more than 30% double qualified teachers, more than 90% teachers with master's degree or above, and more than 45% full-time teachers with senior professional titles.

School running characteristics

(1) To construct the curriculum system of "three modules" + "two supplements": to continuously optimize the personnel training program, to construct three platform module courses of general education, professional education and application training in response to the market and students' needs, and to construct two university sub supplementary courses of network education oriented to information technology and certification education responding to career demands.
