Shenyang Pharmaceutical University was born in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province in 1931. It was formerly known as the Red Army Health School of Chinese workers and peasants. It is an institution of higher pharmacy with glorious revolutionary tradition. The school covers a total area of 1.4345 million square meters, with a total construction area of 708000 square meters. Among them, the campus of school headquarters (Wenhua Road) covers an area of 215000 square meters, with a building area of 179000 square meters; Tiexi campus covers an area of 16000 square meters, with a building area of 17000 square meters; South Campus (Benxi high tech Zone) covers an area of 1203500 square meters, with a building area of 89000 square meters in phase I and 423000 square meters in phase II.

The university has always been guided by the development needs of medicine and related industries, focusing on the school running orientation, highlighting the advantages of pharmacy discipline, adhering to the main line of pharmaceutical education, moderately expanding the layout of undergraduate majors, and continuously optimizing the structure of undergraduate majors. Gradually, the university has formed a structure layout of undergraduate majors with medicine as the main body and 10 majors across five disciplines of medicine, engineering, science, management and economics. There are 20 undergraduate majors, including 5 national characteristic majors, including national science basic science research and teaching talent training base and national life science and technology talent training base.
