Zhejiang Polytechnic College is a full-time public institution of higher learning approved by the people's Government of Zhejiang Province. The school is located in Shaoxing, a famous historical and cultural city, in the beautiful Jinghu New District, with a quiet and elegant environment. The school covers an area of 503 Mu and a building area of 230000 square meters. It is an advanced unit of national vocational education, an excellent college of national higher vocational education and a Model Higher Vocational Construction College in Zhejiang Province.

The school consists of seven colleges, two departments and one center, including the College of mechanical and electrical engineering, the College of digital control engineering, the College of electrical engineering, the College of textile engineering, the College of architectural engineering, the College of computer science, the College of economic management, the training and teaching center, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Ministry of continuing education. There are more than 8000 students and 521 staff, including 117 teachers with senior titles and more than 190 double qualified teachers. There are 26 majors in mechatronics technology, numerical control technology, computer application technology, accounting and auditing, construction engineering technology, etc. It has one national excellent course and nine provincial excellent courses.

The school attaches great importance to teaching and scientific research, and is affiliated to Zhejiang geotechnical mechanics and engineering society. The school has always paid attention to the cultivation of students' practical ability, and has invested more than 50 million yuan to build 77 productive training bases and 165 off campus training bases. The school has been identified as the "national high skilled talents training base" by the Ministry of labor and social security, the "national CNC shortage talents training base" by the Ministry of education, and the "Zhejiang Vocational Teachers Training Base" by Zhejiang Provincial Department of education. In 2006, Shaoxing public training base settled in our school, becoming the first and the only public training base in Zhejiang Province.
