Jilin Medical College was originally Jilin Military Medical College of the Fourth Military Medical University of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. Founded in 1952, the school was once a military medical college with glorious history and fine tradition. In August 2004, with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, the University was transferred from the army to Jilin Province as a whole, and was included in the sequence of national public colleges and universities. It is the only independent undergraduate college of Western medicine in Jilin Province. The school is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, which is a charming city in China and the capital of rime in northern China.
