Chengdu College of University of Electronic Science and technology is an independent college approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China (JFH [2004] No. 21). It is jointly founded by University of Electronic Science and technology of China and Chengdu Guoteng industrial group. It is an ordinary college with undergraduate level as the main body of higher learning with new mode and new mechanism.

Founded in 2001, the college is located in Chengdu, which enjoys the reputation of "land of abundance". It is located in the West high tech Zone of Chengdu, a national high tech Industrial Development Zone. There are more than 17000 undergraduate and junior college students, covering an area of 1100 mu. At present, the college has 10 departments (branches) and more than 40 undergraduate and junior majors. It is the national international software talent training base and the national software industry base talent training center.

Strategic development goals

School performance

Comprehensive strength. In August 2003, the college was awarded the title of "advanced talent development unit" by Sichuan provincial Party committee and government. In September 2007, the computer department of the college was awarded as "the advanced collective of the national education system" by the Ministry of personnel and the Ministry of education. In March 2009, the college won the second prize of higher education teaching achievement of Sichuan Province in 2008 for the project of "simultaneous training of technology and art -- Exploration and practice of computer graphics art compound talents training". In July 2010, the college was awarded the title of "national advanced independent college" by China Association of private education and China Association of independent colleges. In June 2011, the college was rated as "excellent private higher education institution in China" by higher education professional committee of China Private Education Association. In June 2011, the college was commended as "the advanced collective of Ideological and political education of college students in Sichuan Province" by the Propaganda Department of Sichuan provincial Party committee, Sichuan Provincial Department of education and Sichuan provincial Party committee of the Communist Youth League.

Specialty and curriculum construction. At present, the college has five provincial-level excellent courses (Principles of integrated circuits, College English, C # programming, Fundamentals of circuit analysis, and e-commerce), seven college level excellent courses, and one provincial characteristic specialty (integrated circuits and integrated systems specialty) in Sichuan Province.

Laboratory construction. The college has 8 experimental teaching centers, a total of 54 categories and 109 laboratories, with a total area of 11546 square meters. The eight experimental teaching centers are: electronic information basic experimental teaching center, applied electronic engineering technology experimental teaching center, economic management experimental teaching center, computer experimental teaching center, graphic art experimental teaching center, aviation engineering experimental teaching center, arts and Sciences Experimental Teaching Center, and public basic experimental teaching center. Among them, the electronic information foundation experimental teaching center and the applied electronic engineering technology experimental teaching center are the provincial experimental teaching demonstration center construction projects.

Teaching reform and research. At present, the college has 5 projects of "basic scientific research in Central Universities", 4 projects of national youth fund, 18 projects of scientific research in Sichuan Province, 17 projects of scientific research at college level, 2 projects of national education reform, 3 projects of provincial level and 156 projects of college level. In recent years, the college teachers have published 248 academic papers in journals at all levels.

Teaching material construction. There are 42 teaching aids (including handouts) at all levels edited and participated in by teachers in the college, including 10 national "11th Five Year Plan" teaching materials, 3 information planning teaching materials and 5 planning teaching materials of Higher Education Press.

At the same time, many teachers have won awards in various teaching competitions at all levels. On the one hand, it creates a famous teaching teacher composed of full-time teachers; on the other hand, it employs national famous teaching teachers, national experts and many famous experts and professors from the University of Electronic Science and technology to teach or give lectures for our college students through various ways.

Classroom teaching. The college actively promotes the reform of classroom teaching, constantly enhances the teaching art of teachers, and improves the quality of classroom teaching. Many teaching activities have been carried out all year round, such as "young teachers' Teaching Excellence Award Competition", "teachers' classroom teaching design competition", "how to have a good first class" and so on.

Cooperation in running schools. The college has carried out extensive cooperation in running schools and vigorously promoted foreign exchanges. There are 28 student practice bases, 135 cooperative enterprises, and 15 foreign cooperative colleges, covering 11 countries and regions.

Campus culture. With the goal of serving "students' growth and success" and the core of promoting the construction of "three centers" (student culture and Art Center, science and technology innovation center and Entrepreneurship Center), the College strives to create a good style of study of "diligence, pleasure, self-discipline and integrity" and a positive, healthy and upward campus culture, so as to create excellent campus cultural activities. At present, the college has more than 50 student associations and associations. According to statistics, since 2011 alone, college students have won more than 130 municipal awards, including 3 international awards, 56 national awards, 65 provincial awards and 8 municipal awards.
