Jiageng College of Xiamen University was founded in 2003. Approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, Xiamen University, a key university directly under the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, and Xiamen Jiageng Education Development Co., Ltd., is an independent college operating under the new mechanism and mode. In July 2010, the University was awarded "national advanced independent college".
