Long history of running a school

Qingdao University of science and technology was founded in 1950. It went through Qingdao rubber industry school, Shandong Institute of chemical technology and Qingdao Institute of chemical technology. In 1998, it was transferred from the Ministry of chemical industry to Shandong Province to implement the system of central and local co construction and local management. In 2001, Qingdao School of Arts and crafts of Shandong Province was merged and renamed Qingdao University of science and technology in 2002. Now it has developed into a multi-disciplinary university with engineering as the main subject, science, engineering, arts, economics, management, medicine, law, art and other disciplines coordinated development, and materials science, chemical engineering, applied chemistry, mechanical engineering, automation, information and computer as the characteristic disciplines.
