Gongqing Vocational College of science and technology is a full-time ordinary university approved by Jiangxi Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education. It is the only university honored to be named "Gongqing" in China. The predecessor of the school is the branch of Nanchang Institute of technology. It was founded in 2002 and began to recruit students in 2004. It has a history of 14 years. The school is located in the famous Gongqing city. Gongqing city is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, on the shore of Poyang Lake, with Nanchang in the South and Jiujiang in the north.
