Jizhong vocational college is a national full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by Hebei Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education.

Jizhong vocational college is an old and young college, with a thousand years of culture and a hundred years of normal education history. In the early years of the Republic of China, Zhili women's normal school was set up here. After the liberation of Dingzhou in 1947, it was transformed into the first normal school in Jizhong district. After the founding of new China, it was renamed Hebei Provincial Normal School. On March 18, 2002, it was upgraded to Dingzhou branch of Baoding Teachers' college. In order to meet the needs of the socialist market economy for highly skilled talents and follow the requirements of the national education reform and development, our college seizes the opportunity to deepen the reform and implement the transformation from normal education to vocational education. On July 27, 2006, with the approval of Hebei Provincial People's government and the record of the Ministry of education, it was officially transformed into Jizhong vocational college.

Since 1997, the college has started the exploration of vocational education, which has created a precedent of computer education and has a great influence in the country. English education and Chinese major are characteristic and advantageous majors of the college, which are concerned by Hebei Provincial Department of education. At present, the college has formed a professional system of "six departments and one department": Department of information technology, Department of mechanical and electrical engineering, Department of Applied Arts, Department of humanities management, Department of foreign languages, Department of aviation service and Department of public education.

The college has a team of high-quality teachers with strong professionalism, innovation and rich experience. The college has more than 4200 students. The college has complete teaching facilities, especially attaches importance to the construction of the experimental training base and the equipment of the facilities. Now it has a computer room, electronic lesson preparation room, voice classroom and modern professional laboratories such as network, single chip microcomputer, electronic electrician, digital electrical analog electricity, drawing room, welding, fitter, etc. the campus training workshop has been put into use, striving to create an atmosphere of learning and innovation for students. At the same time, we also cooperated with several enterprises in Tianjin to establish off campus training base. We have jointly run schools with Qingdao Boyi Vocational College and Beijing advanced technical school of science and technology, and actively expand employment channels for students through order form training.
