Aksu vocational and technical college is a comprehensive full-time public higher vocational college, which is established with the approval of the people's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and has the enrollment qualification of higher education. It is mainly composed of science and engineering, agriculture and animal husbandry, finance and economics, medicine, art, sports, normal education and information technology. In 2008, it passed the Ministry of education's evaluation of higher vocational talents training level by excellent grade, and in 2011, it was listed in the second batch of Demonstration Higher Vocational Colleges Construction Plan of the autonomous region. In 2012, he passed the ideological and political evaluation of college students in the autonomous region with excellent results. It is approved by the Education Department of the autonomous region to carry out the reform pilot of college entrance examination independent enrollment and the pilot of excellent secondary vocational graduates' direct promotion to higher vocational colleges.

The college plans to cover an area of 2000 mu, and has completed the construction of 1042 mu, with a construction area of 170000 square meters. It has a multi-functional teaching building, experimental building, library, indoor stadium, track and field stadium, student canteen and student apartment. It has 72 on campus laboratories, 4 on campus practice bases and 106 off campus training bases.

At present, there are 438 teaching staff, 86 teachers with master's degree, 33 with deputy senior titles and more than 200 teachers with double qualification.
