Shijiazhuang Vocational College of science, technology and engineering, affiliated to Shijiazhuang municipal government, was founded in 1924 and was called "Zhili eighth normal school". In 1999, it began to train junior college students. In 2001, with the approval of the Provincial Department of education, it was renamed as "Zhengding branch of Shijiazhuang normal college"; in 2004, it was renamed as "Zhengding branch of Shijiazhuang college"; in 2007, with the approval of the provincial government and the record of the Ministry of education, it was transformed into "Shijiazhuang Vocational College of science and Technology Engineering" to implement higher vocational and technical education at the junior college level.

The college is located in Zhengding, a national historical and cultural city. It is only 10 kilometers away from the provincial capital Shijiazhuang. The transportation is convenient. Beijing Guangzhou railway and national highway 107 pass through the city. Shijiazhuang Taiyuan expressway, Shihuang expressway, Beijing Shijiazhuang Expressway and Beijing Kunming Expressway meet here. Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport is in the territory.

The college covers an area of 200000 square meters, with a building area of 150000 square meters. The main buildings are multi-functional library, teaching buildings, gymnasium, art building, experimental building, auditorium, student dormitory buildings, restaurants, etc. The library has a collection of more than 200000 books and more than 1000 newspapers and periodicals.
