Heilongjiang Vocational College of commerce is an independent public full-time ordinary college approved by the provincial government and registered by the Ministry of education. It is located in Mudanjiang City, on the Bank of Jingpo Lake. The college was founded in 1958, formerly known as Heilongjiang sericulture school. In 1972, it was named Heilongjiang Mudanjiang business school. In 1995, it was renamed Heilongjiang finance and trade school. In 2000, it was named as the first batch of national key technical secondary schools by the Ministry of education. In March 2003, with the approval of the people's Government of Heilong Province, Heilongjiang business vocational college was established on the basis of Heilongjiang finance and trade school to carry out higher vocational and technical education at the general college level, while retaining the function of secondary vocational education.
