The origin of the history of the University

Jinzhou railway transportation school, the predecessor of Liaoning Railway Vocational and technical college, was founded in 1952. At that time, it was called Jinzhou Railway Technical school. It was a technical secondary school and recruited junior high school graduates. In 1953, it was renamed Jinzhou Railway school, which was subordinate to the Ministry of Railways with two majors of traffic and freight transportation and business management. In 1955, it was renamed as Jinzhou railway transportation school, mainly for training train service and business technical management personnel. In 1957, the railway service and business were merged into one railway operation specialty. In October 1958, the school was upgraded to Jinzhou Railway College, with a junior college department and a technical secondary school department. The Junior College Department has the specialties of railway transportation, machinery, telecommunication, architecture, sports, etc. The Ministry of technical secondary schools still offers the major of railway operation. In 1961, the Department of junior college stopped recruiting students and resumed the system of technical secondary school. In 1969, it was merged with Jinzhou Railway driver school, and its name was changed to Jinzhou Railway Workers' school, where technical training classes were held. In 1972, it was renamed Jinzhou Railway Secondary Vocational School and opened railway transportation and locomotive crew. In 1973, it was renamed Jinzhou railway transportation school and the railway driver school was separated. In 1977, he changed to recruit high school graduates and set up majors in railway transportation, railway signal and railway communication. In 1986, it was changed to recruit junior high school graduates. On July 22, 2005, the school was transferred to Liaoning Provincial Department of education for management. It is an institution directly under the Department. In March 2008, Liaoning Railway Vocational and technical college was officially established.

Overview of current situation

Jinzhou railway transportation school, the predecessor of Liaoning Railway Vocational and technical college, is a national key secondary vocational school under the Education Department of Liaoning Province. At the same time, it is the staff training base of Shenyang Railway Bureau and Jinzhou branch of Adult Education College of Dalian Jiaotong University. The campus covers an area of more than 130000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 60000 square meters.

There are more than 3000 students majoring in railway transportation, railway signal, railway communication, railway power supply, enterprise power supply, electronic technology application, numerical control technology, computer application, graphic design, multimedia technology, etc.

The school has 199 staff, including 136 full-time teachers, all of whom have bachelor's degree, and a number of famous teachers with high reputation in the whole province.

The school has 45 experimental training rooms with advanced equipment and matching functions, one outdoor practice station equivalent to the third class railway station, and eight off campus training bases. There are 600 advanced computers for teaching and office. There are gymnasium, standard track and field and bath center with advanced facilities. The library has a collection of 120000 books.
