Changzhou College of mechanical and electrical technology is located in Changzhou science and Education City, the first one with higher vocational education as a prominent feature in China. Founded in 1963, it is subordinate to the Education Department of Jiangsu Province. Now it is an excellent construction unit of national model (backbone) higher vocational colleges and one of the top 50 universities with typical employment experience of graduates in China. The college covers an area of 942 mu, with a construction area of more than 300000 square meters. The total value of teaching equipment is nearly 200 million yuan, and the total assets is more than 800 million yuan. There are nearly ten thousand full-time students and more than 700 teaching staff. The college innovates the system and mechanism of school enterprise cooperation, and creates a cross-border interactive and multi-functional cooperative education platform. Jiangnan equipment manufacturing technology industry and Education Park is built in the school, and eight school enterprise cooperation workstations are set up outside the school to coordinate the resources of government, industry, school and enterprise, promote the in-depth cooperation between school and enterprise, and enhance the vitality of school running.

The college has formed a "colorful" campus cultural activity system and constructed a "three-level progressive" professional quality competition system. The students won 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 4 third prizes in the national vocational skills competition, and won the "special prize" of Jiangsu college students' Entrepreneurship plan competition. The college has won the outstanding award of campus cultural achievements of the Ministry of education for two consecutive years. In recent years, the year-end employment rate of college graduates has been maintained at more than 98% for many years, and the professional counterpart rate of employment posts is more than 85%.
